Holy Bible: Contemporary English Version

CEV is a very good bible and it's translation is very easy to understand.

Wow! Excellent for beginners and those who wants to read a simple English. Clear translation and the meaning has not affected by it. I love to ready everyday.The cover of the book is a normal laminated cover.The thickness of the book is little big. Could have given with a leather cover.

The bible is really superb, superb user friendly easy to read. As I go on reading the passage my heart is burning to read more and more passages and tastes as if I am eating apple. It is a lovely book. I thank you very much.

I don’t like to mark in my main Bible, it just seems irreverent to me. I also was looking for a translation that provided easier reading for casual study. This works perfectly! I can mark up this paperback and it is just like reading a storybook. Is it what I would recommend for your main Bible? No! But it is great for an extra study aid and for clarity.

Muito boa para quem quer entender melhor a Bíblia e ao mesmo tempo treinar o inglês. Eu comprei a versão digital para poder ler no trem a caminho do trabalho. Mas, se puder, compre a versão impressa (Into the Light Bible), pois a versão impressa é ainda mais gostosa de ler.

Im more used to the KJV but this is an excellent easy to read and easy to understand rendition.Worthwhile.

I have a C.E.V. Bible from 1996, it is well read. On July 2021 we were 50 years married, so I sent away for this Bible for an anniversary gift for my husband. He undertook to read it in a year, as guided in the back of the book, he did it!!! Shortly after that I ordered another Bible for a friend. I recommend this Bible to everyone, even our Anglican priest uses it in our services as it is so understandable for the present day. God bless you all. xxx D
