Magnetic Wooden Chess Set, Folding Travel Chess Board Handmade Chess Pieces, Portable Travel Chess Board Game Sets, Gift Packed Box

This does not need to be a travel chess set. It's very useful in a house with lots of kids and a 2 and 7 year old who likes to mess with games. This is hide-able and you don't have to worry about pieces going missing. It was smaller than I expected but it actually works well for the kids who like to play.

Cute idea. The quality wasn’t great - some of the squares don’t line up and there are some visible gaps between some. The magnets are not very strong and the pieces slide around when the board is picked up. Also, the clip to hold it closed can get in the way while playing.

I ordered this set knowing that it would be small. I wanted a little magnetic chess set that I could use as I studied chess online, and that I could take with me anywhere. The size of this was perfect. I was surprised at how legible the pieces were for wood (ie the queen and bishop didn't look identical like many other wood travel chess sets on Amazon). I also loved how the board looked and how sturdy it was...but that board gap! If it laid flat I would've kept it. I tried to get a replacement board and sent the seller this picture, but they said it was...an inconsistency due to the handmade nature of the product. I just wanted a product that looked as good as their stock photo. So I took a chance and got a replacement sent through Amazon....and it had a gap again. Smaller gap, but still not flat. Guys..this thing is so cute. Cute enough to warrant 2 stars. I really wanted it to work. I ordered it a THIRD TIME. Gap. I guess it would be an anomaly to get a board that is hinged properly and lays out smooth. THAT one opens up perfectly flat. It's a great size for keeping open on a desk or maybe bringing on a picnic, but it's not the handheld size I wanted. The search continues.

Nice small chess set. Unfortunately we received a defective one that has a cracked on each side. Nice to take out on trip.

When I first got this I thought it was awesome! Really small but that is ok. It’s a travel game. However, when we went to play it, we realized that the pieces so small that it’s really hard to differentiate them. I can just foresee it being a problem and causing a mess to f a game.

It was missing the bishop.

This is more like a travel size set. Very small. The quality was average… not great but not bad either. Fun little chess set.

This thing is not 15" more like 7"
