Bastinelli Creations BASRL Red Raptor Seen in Lucy Movie

This knife is super sleek. I saw some of the negive comments about the grip being too small and I don’t agree it fits my hand like a tailored glove. That being said knives are rarely one size fits all. Another comment talked about the sheath, and while it definitely isn’t anything fancy, it does get the job done. It would have been nice if they would include a tec lok or something comparable. I do understand why they didn’t do a much fancier sheath, mainly because they want the knife quantity to be the star of the show, and it definitely is!!!! This thing is freakin beautiful!!!! Plus keep in mind these are made in Italy so they are shipped overseas to get here. I think they have done an amazing job. You can find this knife on a popular knife website for about $20 less with no tax and free shipping. Not sure if I’m allowed to put the name on here thought.

Great knife light weight and balance. Only thing neaded are the belt clip on the sheath. Still worth the 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As far as the seller KnifeCountryUSA is concerned, they were fine. Quick enough shipping, standard communication and tracking.As for the product. Bastinelli Creations is one of those knife manufactures that claim to offer high end knives...meaning that all their items and models are made with high quality steel with practical design and functionality, no cheaply manufactured items or fantasy items you might get with high quantity or Chinese manufacturers.The knife itself, the Raptor seen in the movie Lucy is made with a high quality steel stamped Lionsteel on the underside of the handle alongside the made in Italy stamp. The blade is a full tang design, strong and well made for a fighting knife and functional, blade was sharp upon delivery. The handle is nicely designed and materials are of high quality, but the handle itself is somewhat short and finger grooves end up being uncomfortable for anything except a small hand. The handle definately needed to be at least another half to inch longer to be at it's best and most effective in terms of functionality. The sheath is kydex, but where there is quality worksmanship shown in the blade the sheath is cheap and inadequate for such a blade. There is no clip or any other means of attaching the sheath to belt which means secondary attachment such as a Tech-Lok belt kit or Mole kit for this model blade must be purchased. In reading a previous review the sheath came with several holes for attachments, mine came with one hole.For a knife that is more than $200 U.S. I have to say that this model of Bastinelli blade did not meet my expectations.I would not recomend this blade to anyone with large hands who intends to use this blade such as law enforcement, swat or military. As a knife collector I can live with it. Don't get me wrong, this knife is a good quality product, but the small size takes away from functionality and ability.

My biggest issue was how many to buy & which style. Well balanced...extremely well made! The only issue I have, is the case. It's got 3 holes down 1 side of the case, and 2 across the bottom. OK...I'm confused how I'm supposed to wear this? Clearly, I'll need to find a separate case that will work with the knife. Not very well thought out. Especially for $211.
