I purchased these as a crafting activity for the kids at my Thanksgiving party. The plan was for them to decorate it to be ornaments for their Christmas tree (since that was the next holiday coming up). I figured 20 pieces would be enough for each kid to make 3 each with leftover for the few adults who would be into it. We used Sharpies (medium and fine point), glitter pens, and stickers to decorate. Turns out some of these folks were pretty artistic. I didn't coat these with any protectant and they are still looking good 5 months later.

These are great slices for DIY projects such as pyrography. About 20% were oval-shaped or missing bark. There were also a few that had some type of glue or solution, which smudged when heat was applied. Despite all of this, the value is good and I would buy again.

We bought these wood slices in order to make personalized Christmas ornaments by painting in our grandchildren's favorite Pokemons; I selected these slices out of many other potential ornaments because the diameter was right and gave me enough room to paint. One of them came out fine. The other cracked. I hope it's not an endemic problem or the stack would be a waste. Very disappointed.

For the most part, the wood slices are good. One arrived broken. Not sure if that happened because they shipped it in a plastic bag or if it was broken from the manufacturer. If you need exactly 20 pieces, order extra in case it's broken. If every customer is sent broken pieces, that adds up and is a problem. Other than that, the pieces seem decent enough.

I ordered 5 sets ( which was 100 pieces)Out of the 100 slices there was about 25 that either cracked after painting or had missing bark on the sides that I couldn't use.Most all of them were nicely sized and round for using for my crafts.

These were great. I made cute Christmas crafts with them.
