Happy With Purchase
Update. Almost a year in and still in love with my Chromebook. The travel aspect didn't work out for 2020, but still use every day and highly recommend. My MacBook Pro which was over 7 years old was having issues and I just didn't want to spend the money getting it repaired or buy a new one. I am retired and mainly use the computer for surfing the web, banking and email. Have had my Chromebook for 2 months now, and am very happy with it. As mentioned the screen quality is not great, but for the price, $143 with tax, I feel like it was a sensible purchase for my needs. Was surprised at how easy it was to use. Just enter your Google password and voila! Also like the fact that it is very light weight. Plan on taking it on longer trips instead of my IPad.

what a great device
I have been using this product to stream Amazon Prime shows and for all of my computer needs. My desktop died and I was desperate for something that wasn't expensive. I didn't even have to transfer anything. I just opened my Google account and everything was on the Chromebook!!! So convenient. I am seriously pleased with this item. I saw a similar item for a similar price elsewhere but this one had superior memory and was available.

Good condition, OK price
The product came quickly, was clean, well packaged and as described. All hardware works and there are no significant blemishes.I already have a Samsung Chromebook 3 with ChromeOS, but I am too lazy to back everything up to switch to linux since the Samsung Chromebook 3 is EOL and getting more out of date by the month.Anyway, something like this at $60 is an ok deal to someone like me who got it, immediately took it apart and removed the write protect screw, put it back together, flashed full uefi firmware, then installed galliumOS. Gallium is great! Everything works.....except it is based on ubuntu Bionic which is Long Term Support until 2023 so we are coming up on the EOL date for that too, AND the repo is mising quite a few things I use.So I threw on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Xubuntu). If you decide to do that as well here are the things to do to make it workable: Remove snap, completely. It is too heavy for this aging Chromebook. There are many articles on this. You will also need to change firefox to the nightly ppa and pin the non- snap version. By default the chromebook keyboard top row will function as F keys, the built in Ubuntu chromebook keyboard wont change that. Grab the xkb-data from galliumOS and install it with dpkg -i. The "most chromebooks" in the keyboard layout will work provided you use an overlay. Without that the brightness keys wont work. I used the search key as the overlay. You also need to pin the xkb-data or it will be overwritten on an update as I found.Anyway now I have an ok, but cheap little laptop running Ubuntu 22.04 with everything working as well as it can. If this sounds like a road you want to go down, this is a decent buy.If you just want to run ChromeOS DO NOT BUY THIS, it is End of Life and a security risk.

Nice little chromebook!
I purchased this chromebook for our kids to do their online schoolwork on during the COVID19 Pandemic. Very fast delivery! It actually showed up a day earlier than predicted. The outside of the laptop has a nice rough feel to it that makes it easy to tote around without it slipping out of your hands. This is very nice since I purchased it for my kids to use. It had a nice and easy set up that took no time to have it up and running. We've had no issues.

Great for web browsing and streaming
This is perfect for my simple needs. I am able to browse the internet, stream videos and basically use it for everyday web searching. I am not a student or business person or tech savvy person. for the $300 that i've spent this is an excellent laptop for me. that being said,Pros: long battery life, I can have multiple chrome tabs open and it does not slow down.Cons: for some reason the apps run slower than if you were to open them in the web browser,, example. the app for PrimeVideo runs a slow compared to going to amazon prime in chrome.enjoy your laptop!

Didn't have long before the updates stopped happening
i liked this computer for it's reliability and ease of use. But, I bought it in 2020, and the software updates for ChromeOS stopped in 2022. Two years?? The computer supposedly came out in 2019, so that would make it 'out of date' in 3 years which seems too short for something that otherwise is totally functional (battery is good, keys all work, monitor fine).

Love My Chromebook!
My wife and I have both transitioned from Windows to Chromebook and we are both very happy. Yes, Chromebook is cloud-based and does not run Windows software, but it is so much faster, cheaper and with much less maintenance than Windows machines require.I recommend getting at least 4GB of RAM unless you are going to be mainly just using it as an internet browser. If you are using it as a laptop replacement - as we are - be aware of the lack of Windows software compatibility and the need for at least 4GB of RAM.

Touchpad is not working
After using it for a while, the laptop heats up which is fairly normal but the touchpad will not work. There is no support. Dont waste your money.
