Nice lens cap
Really nice aluminum lens cap — solid, premium feel and a perfect fit on the GR III. It’s a joy to use, adds a bit of weight in a good way, and protects the lens. Highly recommended.

Nice snug fit, looks good.
I got this to protect my new GR IIIx when the camera is in my bag. This will hopefully keep some dust away when the camera is not being used. The only issue is you need to remember to take it off before turning on the camera... it's pretty snug and might not pop off causing a lens error.

It works. Decent quality.
It's a metal lense cover with a soft lining. Works good!

Fits Well
I just got the gr iii and wanted a way to protect the closing elements in the front and to keep dust out of the lens when not in use. This cap fits perfectly and has the felt liner all on the inside (including the part that makes contact with the camera ring). Make sure to follow the instructions and to press it on when you first get it and leave it on for 12 hours before removing it. This is made out of metal and looks like it will last. I used a label maker and made a label for the front of the cap that says "remove first" and one label on the ridge of the cap that you can see when looking down from the top of the camera. The reason I did this is because leaving the cap on and turning on the camera can cause ware on the cameras motor. I know that it is supposed to "pop off" if you accidentally leave it on, BUT I would rather not do it and risk damage to my camera.

Perfect: fits and hard
I’ve been using Sony’s original case for my rx100vii, it’s good but annoying when it comes to battery replacement in addition when I want to use it takes some time so for special moment you will miss it! I found this by chance & recommend by another purchaser, I bought it with little doubt, as I faced problem with my previous rx100ii, rx100iv and rx100v with lens cover as it dents with any minimal pressure even when it was in my pocket . This lens cover has completed the perfect set up for my camera: bottom grip holder(with battery opening), belt holster and the lens protection.

Niche product - Added convenience but limited function and dust protection.
Since the Ricoh has a document problem with dust I wanted to get something that would seal the retractable lens from exterior debris. This thing locks into the mount after you remove the ring from the Ricoh with a solid fit. It opens and closes automatically so you don't have to worry about taking off the lens cap to get the shot. For all intensive purposes this is a lens cap and imo that should be something that protects that lens from scratches and limited impacts to the surface of the lens. But it's not sealed. Each petal has a bit of relief from the other that dust can enter. This also increased the depth of the camera losing some of the thinness which the ricoh is know for and making it a tad less pocketable. In my opinion you're better off getting the hard lens cap and remove it on your own since its more of a sealed unit. It also offers more protection and combine it with the JJC tape on UV filter. To minimize pressure against the thin camera lens shutter petals which can accidentally be pressed against which could lead to damage. If you want to utilize filters full time you're better off using the nisi filter or ricoh's 49mm filter adapter which both clip on and also offer a better seal then this product and overall protection.

Pretty good but not perfect
This one is good but there is a problem is I always forgot to take it off when power on the camera. Then the cover will drop down to the floor. If there is a string that will be good because it can connect the camera and the cover so the cover will not fall down.
