Pretzels, Sourdough Hard Pretzels, 13.5 Oz Box (Pack of 12)

These have been my favorite pretzels for many years, they are getting to be impossible to find in any of my local stores and I am thrilled Amazon has them. I have added them to my subscribe and save order. They come from Amazon fresh with just the right amount of salt at a great price.

All boxes of pretzels were crushed inside the delivery box which indicated the boxes were heavily damaged before being put in the delivery box. Very poor quality control. Also the boxes are two months from expiration. The pretzels were all broken pieces.

Sharing this to warn others. I received my order of two boxes of pretzels today, which I planned to dip in chocolate as gifts. Sadly, when I pulled the inside bags out of the boxes just after receiving the delivery, they were all broken and completely unusable. I tried to get a refund but after trying multiple times in different ways, the option to actually request the refund was never given to me. It's so disappointing.

Years ago these pretzels were loaded with rocks of salt and I love them! I adore salt. But there is much less salt on the pretzels now and I won't be buying again. Don't get me wrong, the pretzels themselves are still wonderfully crunchy and delicious and I have noticed hard to find in grocery stores.

These have been my favorite pretzels for decades now. No oil or flavoring or unnecessary ingredients, these are the old style big crunchy sourdough pretzels in the box. No flavorings, just flour, salt, yeast and baking soda. I used to get these at the supermarket but nowadays they are almost always out of stock, so thank heavens for Amazon. I was reluctant to buy a whole case but I good a good four months shelf date from the order date, so I'll have no problem finishing off all twelve boxes before the expiration date. Some buyers have complained about broken pretzels but my experience of buying them online by the case wasn't bad, no worse than buying them in a store. Each case contains about 14 big pretzels and usually about half or two thirds are broken but the pieces are still big enough for dipping and eating out of hand. I've never bought a case anywhere with less than half the pretzels broken so it's par for the course with these pretzels. The only complaint I have is that one box had a tear in the cellophane bag inside so the pretzels weren't fresh upon opening the box, but they weren't really stale either. At Amazon's usual price here it works out to 25 or 50 cents more expensive than buying them at the supermarket, if I could still find them on the shelf. And I've never found another brand of pretzels that compare to these Snyder's hard sourdough pretzels in the box. It's great that unlike so many other traditional food products of the last century, they haven't screwed with the recipe or stopped making them like so many of the other great snacks and drinks and food favorites I grew up with. I always love these pretzels so much. For some reason, they stopped selling them in the box for at my local grocery stores. The problem with getting them in the mail is they end up broken into lots of pieces which wouldn’t be so bad if the salt hadn’t fallen off. Plus, I’ve noticed these do have less salt on them anyway (which does make them healthier.)(but I’ve noticed a lack of salt at the bottom of the bag) but that was part of the attraction of these pretzels.

They were far too expensive, very overpriced, gave in to an urge but will not be doing so again. A more realist price would be highly appreciated.

Great product Unfortunately arrived in pieces. Crumbs of pretzels. Still delicious. Must find another way to have them delivered.

Snyders is my favorite brand for pretzels and these are really good. I love dipping them in cheese sauce or honey mustard.
