Makes the Ninebot S like a regular Segway
I have only had my Ninebot S for a week or so, but it was obvious to me from the start that I wasn't relaxed and comfortable riding it. Hitting bumps or going down slopes made it feel difficult to control. This handlebar has completely changed that. I can now ride relaxed and feel in almost complete control. Installation was easy except for removing the original knee bar. (See Suggestion 1 below.)I also like that the handle can be easily extended or retracted, so it will fit in the trunk of my car.Suggestions:1) Removing the knee bar is a common complaint, and I struggled with it for a while. After removing the screws it is still very tightly attached, and there really isn't anywhere to pry. I have two suggestions on how to succeed.--More4Motion has a tool like a gear puller that they show easily pulling the bar off. (https://more4motion.com/products/kit-to-remove-knee-bar-and-red-connector-gokart-kit) I have not tried this, but it looks pretty good in the video. But you need to order this ahead of time and wait for it to come.-- The way I finally removed mine: You first remove the rear light bar. Remove the 4 allen screws, and then gently pry the bar off. It has some plastic clips that have to be disengaged; for me I just kept pulling and they eventually disengaged without breaking. Then with that out of the way you can tap on the lower end of the knee bar with a hammer and it will eventually come off. I tried a rubber hammer first, afraid of damaging something, but it took the solid impact of a steel hammer to finally get it free.2) With the handlebar attached, steering seemed a little too sensitive. Using the app, I reduced the steering sensitivity to zero and it feels better to me that way.3) This suggestion probably applies with either the handlebar or knee bar attached: When riding, sometimes it would seem to try to lean back, pushing the handlebar into my stomach. I finally realized I was still in New User mode and it was trying to slow down when I exceeded the beginner speed limit. Setting it to Sports Mode eliminated this problem and made it feel more comfortable, even though I wasn't going much faster.Note: With the handlebar installed and extended, the Ninebot S will no longer self stabilize when you get off. The weight of the bar will make it tend to roll forward. This can be avoided by either parking against a wall, a curb or your foot, or by retracting the bar all the way. I haven't found this to be a big problem.

Nice Sturdy Handle Bar
The Handle Bar is triangle shaped and slides out with a Push Button to secure it in position both above the base, (pictured) and below the handle bar (pictured), so you can detach without much problem to fit in car. Also there is a Pinch fit (Shown in both positions to secure even more. I feel very comfortable with this, more so than the other you see with the knee piece. (I have both)The only ting I do not like, is the foam on the Handle bars spins, so I may get standard Handle Bar Grips, or just remove them altogether. The Phone holder is a VERY NICE plus.

Personal Transportation Device.
I use this Segway for personal transportation.I have bad hips that surgery has not repaired, and walking is painful. My balance is really good, especially for a 70 year old male, but I have pain when I walk. This unit enables me to shop, tour and participate in ways that I haven’t done in years.Crutches are painful, motorized wheelchairs are hard to transport but this Segway is fabulous.Remember, if your balance is good, you should consider one!

Pretty good handlebar option
There were no instructions for the set up. I do feel that it’s pretty sturdy. It has a slight wobble but other than that it’s pretty good. The phone holder is crap which is why I recommend buying your own. I did not buy this for the phone bracket but it’s a cool accessory. I would say this is better than most of the other handlebars. Giving at four stars because it did not come with instructions

Best Segway Handlebar by Far
This is the best handlebar set for a Segway minipro, and I've tried 2 others that were of shabby construction. It only took a few minutes to put together, and the cool little enclosed USB video has all the simple instructions. Not only is it very sturdy and cool looking--particularly with my black Segway--but the foam handlebars feel great and are perfect for adding a rear view mirror, phone holder, and light to it. Now I can travel in style !

Not really worth it
I like the item I don't think it is really that necessary and I feel it's a bit overpriced actually a lot overpriced. They give you the little holder for your phone which is technically useless. I think as a beginner it might help a little bit. I find that it makes it a little bit more difficult to keep the unit at speed sometimes it seems to tilt back too much and the bar pushes against you trying to slow itself down
