Perfect for .17 through .50! Quality that is organized.
I needed a new .17 rod and brush, and was tired of my tackle box of cleaning supplies for my other firearms. If you have a .17, you already know the rods and bits break easily. This set is as good, or better, than any other name brand cleaning kit I’ve purchased. The .17 brush and patch “plunger” fit perfectly. Pictured is a .17 Savage. As a bonus, you get wire brush, plunger, and swab for every caliber I can think of, including shot gun. It is neatly organized, stays put, and there is extra room for pipe cleaners, Q-Tips, oil, and patches. I can now clean out my tackle box and just use that for chemicals, scissors, and t-shirts.It claims to gave a warranty, haven’t tried it. This is a solid buy at $40, and perfect for a gift. Obviously, most these bits can be used for in between calibers, if you don’t see them listed.

Its great because it's actual metal - no plastic jags!
What comes in the box? You get a plastic injection molded box, but they nicely put a piece of foam in there to keep everything from rattling around. If you're missing a brush, check this piece of plastic, because mine were all stuck to it. Also a parts diagram! So you know where everything goes! It's nice because all the little tray compartments aren't labeled. The jags are actual brass! If you've gotten a plastic cleaning kit before, you want this cleaning kit. The brass jags are well made, nicely machined, and there's even a ramrod end in there. That's marked as a 50 cal jag, but it doesn't have the patch pin on it and it's shaped appropriately to ram a lead ball down a bore. Hey, bonus! You get an astonishing amount of patches with this thing. There's patches in the middle of the case, then much larger patches (listed as "cleaning cloths"), and under them is... more patches! You're not going to know what to do with this many patches, this kit truly works out of the box. There's also a really nice collection of bore mops down to .270, and "nylon slotted tips". I'm not really sure what the tips are for but I'm sure we can find some use for them.Brush and mop adapters: There's a generous amount of adapters in here to make sure things work, and they're also brass! Anything which touches your gun in this kit is brass, which is great. Again - top notch stuff! Also the toothbrushes - brass, which is pretty standard, steel, which is nice, but also nylon. Nice for getting dirt off external surfaces and wood without ruining the finish. The oil bottle is also great. While it's not huge, it has a metal tip on it (and a plastic cap) which is covered by a rubber nipple to keep the oil from leaking out. The oil is not included, but this is a premium kit for the cost.

Well Made and Organized
I bought this to replace an older, much smaller cleaning kit my husband had purchased a number of years ago. He now has many guns, and I love that this kit has an included cheat sheet that shows you exactly what pieces to use for each caliber. The hard shell case keeps everything organized. This appears to be very well made and should be the last gun cleaning kit we need to buy.

Very complete and reasonably priced
I just used this for the first time; I found the kit to be complete and just what I needed. I had purchased a less expensive kit a couple of years ago; it was a waste of time in that the rods were weak and broke with not much usage. The rods feel very strong and the kit has lots of attachments and different size tools. I'd get it again. One complaint: The rods are supposed to snap into place but for two of them (Note: there are two complete rod assemblies of different diameter) the rods do not stay in place. Not a huge issue since I don't open the case that often but something to be careful about.

My first gun cleaning kit
I finally turned 21 which made me eligible to purchase a gun in California. My roommate is really into guns and he said this looked like a good kit. He also took a look at it when it arrived and said everything looked good. It has more attachments and tools than I’ll ever need for my one pistol and the price was great. Perhaps this wouldn’t be a gun enthusiasts go to kit, but for the average gun owners this kit should be fine.

Looked for a LONG time.
I've been looking for a quality gun cleaning kit that didn't cost twice what it's worth, returned two different ones because quality was poor. THIS KIT will be with me for LIFE, it's great quality, easy to use and all the options I need for ANY gun I own or will own. Thank you!

Best kit for the money
This kit is amazing especially for the cost of it. I bought this kit because I have lots of rifles from 22lr to 450 bushmaster and I wanted a kit that covered everything. This will clean all the firearms that I have and will be great for after a day at the range. The brass inserts and rods that are includes are very solid and well made. The only downside is that it comes with an oil bottle but no oil itself, but for the price thats not really a concern especially since I had some already. Would definitely purchase again and would definitely recommend to a friend or someone looking to buy a present for an enthusiast.

Works well for the money!
I’ve been only using the trusted Hoppes cleaning kit for a long time, and I was looking for something else to try out. I gotta say the kit comes in nicely and well packaged. All of the heads are brass which I’m impressed because my Hoppes slotted heads are plastic, and I don't like it much. I use the kit to clean my 24’’ 308 bolt action rifle without a problem since it comes with extra rods. The cleaning kit does the job as it’s described, and the machine works on the heads are nicely done.
