YIHUA#948A Replacement Soldering Iron Handpiece/Handle for YIHUA 948 Standard desoldering station ONLY

I own a Yihua 948 standard desoldering station that I have been using along with my RadioShack soldering station. I notice this iron for sale on Amazon and figured I could save some space.The iron is fully compatible with my 948 station. I just unplug the desoldering gun and plug in the iron. I never used both at the same time, so this isn’t an issue.The iron is very sturdy and has a comfortable feel. It has a 60 watt element that is very similar to the RadioShack iron. The both use the same soldering tips so I did not need to buy new tips for this iron.The Yihua station is marked ESD safe, so it should be properly grounded. The iron heats up quickly and uses the same controls as the desoldering station. I am asking Yihua if they will sell me the stand the holds both the gun and the iron. That would be so awesome.Update: yihua doesn’t sell the stand, but is looking into it. I think the iron and stand replacement would be a great upgrade option.

This iron is used for changing i.c's on med equipment circuit boards, with the resolder iron, together they are really great!!! *****

says it fits a 948 but that's just not true. too many pins.

Works great. Just incase the other one fails I'm not waiting on the replacement. Hope I don't need it but just incase.

Bought this as a replacement. Dead on the mark perfect!

difficult to find I have to look in so many places. due to the 8 pin plug.. thats why I bought an extra solder Iron. incase my original soldering iron that comes with my YIHUA 948. the downside is that my desolder tool broke down and was not replace. but got a money back which good to buy a new desolder gun. thanks to YIHUA
