Are these long pin or medium pin?

No. The pins are set at angle that grip the underside of the carpet. You won't feel them even with bare feet

How long is each length? Are they the standard 1520mm (5ft), or have they been cut in half at 760mm (2.5ft)?

Our Gripper is delivered in boxes, theses are approx 2.5ft in length.

How many do u get in a pack

I bought one pack i did 2 bedrooms top hallway and stairs and still had 6 to 7 lengths left over was two bed terrace

Could this be layer on top of 5mm fibre board above floor boards Thankyou?

Don’t see why not provided you have secured the fibre board to the floor boards. Otherwise they might lift/curl up.
