Whilst I can't comment on the use of these candles for anything other than burning to produce light and heat, I will be buying these again. They do last for about 3 hours as described and they burn very well. Large flame which lights the corner of my room rather well. A good amount of heat is produced; handy for warming cold fingers. I don't know what else to say other than they ARE GOOD CANDLES!
