A unique rifle for airsoft
I purchased this airosft gun used from amazon user http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=104-6237641-0113854&seller=A2FA3RX1HQCLQ2. The rifle performs as new and is only marred by minor scratches. I've read numerous reviews criticizing the durability of the gearbox and the difficulty of finding spare parts, but I feel that the attentiveness of the seller in refurbishing this airgun may have actively prevented me from receiving a lemon. The gun fires at approximately 380 feet per second and is accurate enough to hit a can from 100 feet consistently, with an easily adjustable hop up under the ambidextrous dust cover, but the rate of fire is lacking, in sharp contrast to the real steel version. The body of the rifle is plastic, with few parts holding exception to this. There is a metal proprietary bipod built into the body of the gun, a metal trigger with matching guard, and a tactical rail on the handguard (there is no scope rail with the gun, but several aftermarket options exist) that is also metal, but those and the gearbox, along with the barrel assembly (which includes the functional but useless charging handle), are the only parts of the body of the gun that are metal. The sights (which are constrained but easy to use aperture sights), carry handle, handguard, grip, and stock are all an ABS plastic (though the stock is rubberized and textured and awesome), though the externals do not feel cheap, and, from experience I would say are rather hardy. The magazine it comes with is metal, as are all available replacement mags (compatible with tokyo marui mags, but not with the spring model by the same company, so beware), and generally functions without issue, barring the constant fear of lemons. I bought this gun because of my fondness for bullpup weapons for their long barrels combined with CQB length and my research lead me to believe that this was the best investment of my money under 300$, with the possible exception of the JG AUG A2, though I hold the FAMAS more dearly in my heart. I would heartily recommend this gun by this seller to a designated marksman; due to the accuracy from the long barrel and the low rate of fire, lovers of bullpup, and those looking for their first serious airsoft gun who want something outside the AK vs. M4 war. Of note, though, is that I would only recommend this over the JG AUG as long as the price is lower, as the weapons are comparable in performance with a slight edge to the AUG in durability.

Good beginner gun.
Great for beginners. Plastic feels a little cheap, but good to start off with.

WARNING READ THIS BEFORE BUYING.
This gun is amazing in so many ways. It fires at a whopping 380fps and the hicap mags are great. The mags are easy to find on Amazon and theyre very cheap for 300 rounds. It is extremely accurate. I could easily hit a quarter from 50 feet with a shot or two. The tiny precision iron sights and the bipod were probably made for outdoors which doesnt help me much because i go airsofting indoors. Its not that big of deal that the iron sights are bad because firing from the hip and the fast fire rate make for easy spraying. The only problem i found was that the battery i got was defective. The only way i realized it was because my smart charger flashed warning me it was defective. I saw that a couple of people were having this problem but its okay because i was planning on upgrading my battery to a 1600mhz instead of the stock 1100mhz it comes with. The battery is probably different than your used to because its a mini so dont forget about that or your battery wont fit. And again the battery was easy to find because it is also on amazon. Overall great gun but just check your battery with a smart charger to be safe that its not defective.

This AEG is the best for the price.
This is my personal favorite AEG, I'm 25 and only recently got into airsoft to shoot cridders in my back yard, but I have a few nice AEGs now and this one is tits. The good:Best price for a high powered metal gear boxed AEG.Aesthetically it stands out. I'm a fan of bullpups, and this is a classic.Accurate as it gets.It goes the distance, I have another great bullpup that sends them around 450FPS as well, but this one is even more consistent, which is saying a lot.the metal mag is cool. The one that came with my gun was broken but seller, edws777, shipped me a new mag the next day when I told him. Props to him.The gun is quiet for as much power as it has.Never overfeeds. Its the only airsoft I've used to any extent that doesn't drop a BB out of the barrel if you point it down after puttin it on auto. The ugly:Its really light. the mag is the heaviest part on the thing. The battery housing is not very cooperative. The bi-pod is kind of a cool idea, but its not a long barrel gun, I don't have a use for it.The trigger guard is very weak and only secured at the front, there nothing to keep it in place behind the trigger.Pop-up ironsides are useless. The bar works much better (maybe its meant for prone, I don't compete). There is nothing truly 'bad' about this gun. Its the best for the price, it can hold its own with $400 AEGs as far as function. For under $130 new, this was an amazing deal. It looks like it went up since then, but probably still worth it. Do it.

Great Except For One Problem
I love the way the gun feels in my hand. It shoots well in semi- and auto. I mostly use it on semi-. The one problem I have found are the sights. They are badly designed and not well made. I find it difficult to shoot because there is only a very small opening that one can realistically aim with, especially so since I wear glasses.Ok so the sights are not good. What about a scope? When I bought this I was given the name and stock # for a scope. When I received the gun I realized that I needed scope mount. I have scoured the web in 4 countries looking for this mount and found nothing. I have talked with Cybergun and they didn't know when they would have them. "It could be today, tomorrow or never." I was not happy. Anyway I like the gun but wish I could use the scope I bought for it.
