Great chair compared to others out there.

I bought this one, the comparable Montara lounge, the blue $14 light weight chair from Walmart, and the FB Sport with the short back. I actually think the $14 Walmart chair is the most comfortable, but its about twice as heavy and of cheaper quality. The Marchway is a close second in comfort but is lighter and better quality. I give the Marchway the edge overall, as it provides good support under your thighs compared to the FB Sport and Montara lounge. The FB Sport wasn't comfortable at all. It felt like I was sliding forward all the time. I sent it back. The Montara has a slight feeling of falling forward, but was tolerable. One other note, this Marchway actually comes with the large anti-sink feet...rather than the feet shown in the photos, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm 6 ft 205 lbs. My wife is much smaller but also preferred the Marchway. She said the FB Sport dug into her legs too much. My 4yr old son said the same thing.

Very comfortable

I got this to take with me when I'm camping while on road trips with my Harley....I'm 6'2", 240 lbs, and I love this chair...It has a tall back with a pillow attached, which is very comfortable...Easy to get out of and it rocks slightly..I fall asleep in this chair. Highly recommend it.

Sufficient for saving space, not for comfort

We purchased two of these in hopes of replacing two larger traditional camp chairs. The two traditional camp chairs (the ones that everyone has that go into a cylindrical shaped bag about as tall as the chair itself) take up a lot of space in my truck's short bed when we go overlanding. I'm always trying to trim down on space usage, and the two traditional camp chairs were the largest room for improvement. So we purchased two of these compact camp chairs to replace them. They definitely save a lot of space (each chair folds up to be a bit smaller than the size of a backpacking tent folded up) which was a big win for me. However, they were much less comfortable. I'd give most traditional camp chairs around 7/10 for comfort level, and our larger ones were probably an 8/10, which I didn't expect to see with these portable ones, and I understood that. But these compact camp chair were maybe a 4/10, if that. The primary problem is that the seat is shallow, yet the back feels tilted forward considerably. In more relatable terms, with traditional camp chairs, you can usually sit back and lift your legs up off the ground, but if you do that in one of these portable chairs, you will tilt forward in the chair because you're off balance. This means that whenever you're sitting the chair, you must have a foot on the ground or campfire rock or something to push back against constantly. And you can't slouch forward onto the edge of your chair and cross your legs, it really isn't comfortable to do that. We used these at our last camp site and we just couldn't get comfortable while sitting around the fire. I found myself standing and walking around, or hopping up to sit on the tailgate instead of sitting in the chair. The cost and discomfort does not outweigh the additional storage space. This is all my personal experience of course, which will obviously vary person to person. Nonetheless, we will be trying to return them or sell them, and revert to our full-sized traditional camp chairs for time being until I can find an alternative camp chair. I don't need the same level of comfort, but I do need a chair that is at least half-decently comfortable, but folds down smaller. With all that said, I do admit these portable camp chairs could be great for extra seating. In other words, something to keep in your camping gear for use by guests/visitors, as they aren't super comfy but they take up very little space while they aren't in use. Failbacks. However, the price is a bit steep for something you don't use and only keep around as a spare option, at least compared to the price of traditional camp chairs. Just my 2¢.

Impressed with quality!

I’m very happy with this chair. We’ve had your typical camping chair for 12 years and I’ve gotten so sick of having them in the garage and lugging them to the beach, camping, soccer fields, etc for 6 people - so heavy and awkward.I bought my husband and I each one of these and the kids another-simpler version and we will all be responsible for carrying and setting up our own chairs. They’re small enough we can store them in our hiking backpacks. They’re super light and the fabric is quality. I’m a seamstress and always look at stitching and quality of work when I get something - this passes!Setting it up is a bit tough at first because the cover fits really tight on the poles. Do the top first and the bottom last just like the instructions. I had to sit on the ground and use leverage with my feet to get there fabric to pull over the seat poles. It only takes about a minute to setup and take down.I’ve included a picture of the chair in its bag between my camping mat and hammock sac so you can see the size comparison. All 3 fit in my pack with room to spare. The chair is comfortable and I’m glad I spent more money then I planned to get the headrest. I’m 5’7” and 140 lbs.. I do feel like it is a narrow chair.. not sure how a heavier person would like it.

A decent camping chair

This camping chair fits me well, it is very stable, light and easy to assemble, especially for the high back, armrest and sturdy thick frame, it can support my back and head properly, maintain a natural and comfortable posture, so I can relax for long time. Took it to several campings, I even fall asleep while sat on it. Size is ideal for cycling or motorcycling trip. The first assembly does require some effort to insert last pole into the fabric corner, but it will be easier to assemble second time because the cloth will be stretched a little after sitting. We are using it everyday at home now and are happy with this purchase.
