I am extremely happy with the BRUSTRO Artist 25% Cotton Watercolour Book! The paper quality is truly impressive — it holds water beautifully without buckling or tearing, making it ideal for watercolor work. The surface allows smooth blending, layering, and lifting of colors, so even detailed washes come out clean and vibrant. What I love most is its versatility. Apart from watercolor, the sheets also handle mixed media really well — ink, gouache, acrylics, and even light sketching all work perfectly on this paper. The texture has just the right tooth for both dry and wet techniques, giving paintings a professional finish. Another big plus is how user-friendly it is for beginners and kids. I tried this with my art class, and the children found it so much easier to paint on compared to regular sketchbooks. They were excited with the results, as the colors looked brighter and blended smoothly, giving them a happy sense of achievement. Not for Watercolor
Great for sketching - okay for watercolour. The paper takes ink pretty well and maybe one wash of water colors - do a couple more washes and it will start to pool and pill.
