Reliable and Easy Installation
Bought the Benefast 600-910 Transfer Case Motor for my 2008 GMC Sierra, and it was an excellent choice. The motor arrived in good condition, and installation was a breeze. It restored full functionality to my 4WD system, and the quality is top-notch. Highly recommend!

Works as advertised
I installed this 4WD transfer case on my 2004 Chevy Suburban 2500. I now have the ability to shift between 2WD and 4WD. This is the second unit I’ve installed on this truck. The first one stopped working after six months. I’m hopeful that the second one will last much longer! I’ll update my post a few months from now to give you a long-term update.

Piece of junk waste of money
Update so we just tore this piece apart and found a ton of corrosion and rust mind you this has only been on our suburban for 2 weeks it worked one time to put it in a four-wheel drive and then has not worked since we thought it had to be something else so we replaced the switch and another item but still had the same issue. My husband decided to take it apart and check it to see if he could reset it and line it back up and that is when he found all the corrosion and all the rust that was inside. This piece is not just faulty it is dangerous. We are just a couple days past the 30-day return and now we're out $100 but I feel that this unit was faulty from the get-go and I'm going to contact the seller but I don't expect anything because I've seen the other reviews. Needless to say I do not suggest this at all it is a danger to have on your vehicle. So this encoder motor lasted about a month. Then bam it just stopped. Thought we could save a couple hundred but honestly we just lost a hundred. My husband is a mechanic and has been for over 30 years. He tried this one just to see if it was worth anything but sadly it isn't. Do not recommend.

4wd is back!
Nice encoder. Make sure you scan your vehicle with a scanner that reads transfer case codes. If you lose 4wd it will more than likely be 1 of 6 possible issues. First things to check are the following. In order of easiest to troubleshoot. 1. Dirty ground 2. Faulty t-case selector switch 3. Front diff actuator 4. Transfer case module 5. Transfer case encoder 6. Faulty wiring or plug There is a lot of information online for each of these. The #1 cause I see is the encoder motor that attaches to the transfer case. Second is either the front diff actuator or a bad ground. GM Yukon, Silverados, Suburbans, etc. All have a ground on the frame rail directly beneath the driver's seat. Use a 10 mm wrench to loosen it up and clean it. Don't pay $400 for any of these items when you can buy this one for $110. Make sure you chock your wheels and engage your emergency brake. Unit comes from the factory in neutral so take a channel lock and make sure the stud coming out if the transfer case has the keyway pointed down. Good luck.
