PrismacolorVerithin Colored Pencils, Metallic Silver, (02460) ( Pack Of 12 )

I am an art teacher searching for a bulk pack of silver colored pencils that have become highly sought after in my classroom. I tried three. A silver welding pencil, prisma verithin (this product) and a prisma premier (see photo. I testers for writing, value scale, coverage, blending, and writing on metal and smudging on metal.Pros: darkest color, heaviest coverage, durable lead strength, widest value scale with the least amount of pressure applied, marks on metal and smudges the leastCons: it covers other colors but does not blend well. Its texture on paper is good but not the smoothest.For my students, this is the ideal pencil since it is used as a finishing product for outlining and highlights

I have used prismacolor verithins for quilt making for over. 30 years. Other brands do not hold a point as well, nor mark fabric as reliably. When I have tried others I have invariably been disappointed.

Works great for marking on dark fabric and dark metal.

That's the pencil I wanted to mark steel with and they serve my needs.

These pencils are for marking on metal so you can cut/weld the pieces properly. I suppose you can also use them for drawing but they're pretty expensive (even at this price) for that.Exactly what my daughter needed for school/welding at a fraction of the cost of the others.

lead is a little fragile but it serves the purpose

I mark metal with these. They do a good job. Price is a good value.
