Fei Long was also shot, but escaped, taking Takaba to Hong Kong as a hostage. V4 picks up in Hong Kong where Fei Long is recovering, and has just been reminded he has a prisoner. This story is much darker, as Fei Long threatens to sell Takaba into slavery and addiction if he doesn't obey. Needless to say, there is non-consensual (and explicit), and dubious consent, sex in the story. Much of the plot takes place in Hong Kong as we follow Takaba's sad state and his guilt and remorse over acting impulsively and putting Asami in danger. Meanwhile, Asami, who is still recovering from his wound, is working to get Takaba back - he has a spy in Fei Long's organization. There is a lot of action and plot advancement in this book, but also a great deal of character development. Fei Long has a young ward, a small boy, who is instrumental in showing that he has a heart and that Takaba does not deserve to be treated so poorly because of Asami and Fei's "war." The main relationship is put on the back burner since Takaba and Asami are separated most of the story, but we learn more about all three, and the yakuza organizations. Overall, this was a gripping read that I could not put down. As the last book, this ends on a cliffhanger when Asami and Fei Long meet aboard a casino ship to make an exchange for Takaba. Things do not go as planned... This book also includes one bonus, humorous, Finder story. Takaba's first photo assignment gets hijacked and he ends up going out to dinner with Asami after, and again has too much to drink! Highly recommended. Review: A real nail-biter - Picking up where volume three left off, Takaba Akihito finds himself as Fei Long's prisoner in Hong Kong, forced to submit to his will. During his captivity, Akihito is constantly thinking about Asami, and wishing for the older man to rescue him. But within Fei Long's own organization is backstabbers with their own motives. Motives that have profound impact on Akihito, Fei Long, and Asami. This was a fabulous read. Yamane Ayano is very talented with her drawing style, in that she doesn't need a lot of words to describe her characters feelings. Akihito thinks about it a lot, but it's easy to see the toll his situation is taking on him. Adding to the surprises of this volume is Akihito coming to terms with his feelings for Asami. Though he constantly at someone's mercy, his ordeal with Fei Long forces him to realize that there was something far more meaningful with his own relationship with Asami. I think this is a very important volume with character development. Akihito starts acknowledging to himself what Asami means to him, as he constantly wishes for Asami to rescue him. And both Fei Long and Asami evolve as well as they both, in their own individual way, come on the same page about Akihito's well-being. Still, this volume has a major cliff-hanger, and I'm definitely anticipating volume 5. Since this volume was delayed, I can imagine the same will be for the fifth volume. But I definitely recommend picking this volume up.

Worth the Money
I have found this story intriguing and I now own all but Volume 3 which is too expensive to pay that much money for. It may have great sex scenes, so I'm told and would love to find out what happened in that volume, but please just do a reprint so all of us have a chance to read it. This book is worth skipping vol. 3 to continue reading a great story.
