Update - This Thing Actually Works!
I have to admit, my initial review of this antenna was less than favorable. The antenna was a lot flimsier than I expected and when I had it by the tv hardly any channels came in. Walking around the room I could get some channels to work properly and holding up to a window facing the direction of most of the broadcast towers resulted in even more channels. Most of the broadcast towers are less than 25mi away. Anyway, this was one of the first antennas I had ever purchased and it was cheap, so I wasn't expecting a lot out of it. Because of the low price I didn't return it.. and I'm actually glad I didn't! I recently bought an HDHomerun with the intent to "cut the cord" for good and still have some of the major networks and local channels. I decided to try this antenna with it and set it flat on a desk in a room on the other side of the house that wasn't even facing the broadcast towers. This was mainly just to test the functionality of the HDHomerun as I figured this cheap antenna wasn't going to give me the greatest results. To my surprise even with this incorrect placement I had 8 or so channels coming in decently. I also bought a better antenna off eBay, a ClearStream 2Max. When I received the ClearStream 2Max and tried it out, the results were actually worse than with this cheaper ANTAN antenna. I was getting a lot of stuttering, artifacts, etc. Now if I put the ClearStream up to the window and pointed in the direction of the towers, it works pretty well. Only issue is I didn't want to mount something heavy and big in that location -- I had been hoping I could use the ClearStream antenna on the entertainment stand in the same room, pointed at the window, and with the 60mi advertised range it would work as well as a cheaper antenna with a 35mi range. So I tried this ANTAN antenna with it dangling down from a curtain rod in front of the window that faces the broadcast towers and aimed the correct direction. Now here's the awesome part. I pulled in the most stations I ever saw with any configuration I had tried -- a total of 32 channels (with 6-8x being repeats on different channel numbers). I'm able to get the major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) and the best part is it seems most if not all the channels are coming in clear and without artifacts. I doubt I could get any more channels even with a $200+ antenna mounted on the roof. So with that, I'm updating my review. I'm amazed that such a cheap product can work this well. This isn't the ideal end-all placement of things that I'd like to have, but for now it works! FWIW, the HDHomerun is a pretty slick way of accessing different stations on multiple devices (firesticks, android tablets, computers) at the same time. If I had known about this setup 10 years ago I would have saved a ton of money over the basic cable subscription we kept around all that time costing $40+ per month. My best advice is if your broadcast towers are less than 30mi away and you have a fairly clear line of sight in the direction of the towers (check rabbitears.info for direction and distance to your towers) then this ANTAN antenna is worth a shot! Just know that to get the most channels and best reception you'll need this mounted higher up in a window that's facing the direction of the broadcast towers and you'll also need to point the antenna in the direction of the broadcast towers to get the best results. Clocking it too far one way or another will affect some channels from coming in clearly. Position makes all the difference. If you intend to leave this by your tv or mount it on the wall above your tv -- or even mount it on the wall that's facing the direction of the broadcast towers, you probably will only pull in a fraction of the channels you could get if installed in a window facing the broadcast towers. I wanted to not have to mount an indoor antenna by the window, but it really is necessary to get the most channels and best reception. I'm glad I gave this antenna a second shot! Review updated to 5-stars since it's performed better than expected and helped me get more stations than I thought I could get!

It’s decent.
sometimes reception isn’t good and doesn’t necessarily get every channel, but it (usually) works pretty good. If you are dedicated nfl (or any other sport) fan without cable though, I would recommend a more upgraded antenna, because it can really be straining when reception craps outs. I don’t live in BFE so this should be a pretty average experience.

Last indoor tv antenna was unable to bring in our 2 channels without moving antenna to best reception location for a channel. Old antenna needed to be installed in window to get any reception, so it was unsightly. This Antan works great. Picks up both channels with a single antenna location. Mounted antenna behind the tv so nothing is visible. Very happy with the performance of this antenna.

I am located in Baulkham Hills. My window faces north - the towers are east of my location. No other indoor antenna has picked up *any* channels. This one picks up ABC, SBS and Ten. The signal level on SBS is 0% on 184.5MHz - from Artarmon. This is in the VHF band, which flat antennas aren't great at picking up. I'm amazed it picked up anything at all. I am 18km away from the transmitter and it can only pick up 3 channels poorly. It doesn't match the 35-45 mile (56-72km) range stated in the listing I wouldn't purchase this again. It was interesting from a technical perspective but some antennas which are designed specifically for VHF might work.

I live in a very rural area of Atlantic Canada. My house is located in a small gully where cellular service is still unreliable, so I had doubts that this antenna would work for me, but I’m happy to report I was wrong! I only get two stations, but one of them is CTV Atlantic which offers the best programming in my area. I canceled my expensive cable package 6 months ago and I’m so happy to be able to watch my local news live again!
