I have several of these all works great going on 3 years

does not have option for Fahrenheit, only Celsius. Has nice bright screen and firm buttons. Cheapest listing I could find.

UPDATED REVIEW, NOW HAVING HAD IT FOR ~4 MONTHSUnit failed, will not even turn on, now after about 200 hours of being in the "on state" (though the relay controlling the heat was not always on). Pretty disappointed in it failing. Also, the user interface is not intuitive at all, and is different from other units that appear to use the same hardware.--ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW--Unit works fine, but arrived a few days late. I would have purchased something else if I had known, but Amazon said it would be here next day but then took 3 days, delaying my experiments.

Works well, but for those of us who don't think in the metric system, it's difficult to work with because it's only degrees C. Other types will do both C and F and are not much more expensive.

Unit comes as described, but without directions. I didn't think this would be a problem on a device with effectively 3 buttons, but it is. It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to set the trigger point and I still don't know how to switch it from cool to heat. f1-f4 are available but control neither of these. I assume they are for histeresis., delay and compensation.

Can figure out the functions stuck on Celsius only

Used for baby chicks..the thermistor it comes with is a bit inaccurate about 3 degrees one way or the other..it does allow you to calibrate it...I think I had to drop it -5 degrees on the box to get it closer. I used an external quality temp gauge to do this...it works great..it was constantly running a heat emitter that needed to be lowered in temp every week until the chicks were ready to go, so it was easy to drop it a few degrees at a time...I've used it for a while now without fault...it's being setup now for some ducklings we will receive on Christmas...I'd recommend

I use this controller in several places in my home. I use one to control the heating mat for my seed starter, one to control a chemical process, and one to control a heater in my bedroom. They work very well and the bang-for-buck is through-the-roof.I'm very impressed.

works great for wine fridge

i use them for defrost pulse control on industrial refrigeration evaporators, also have them on water lines in winter to prevent freezing using heater tapes set to come on at +2 deg c work fine so far no problems at all.
