My granddaughter loves it and it fits in with her series of the warrior.

My nine-year-old twin girls and 9-year-old grandson LOVES these books and want to read the rest of the series. My daughter-in-law and I are reading them also to have meaningful discussions with them. These books make a terrific gift.

This series reminds me of 'Watership Down', a similarly semi-'realistic' animal novel about rabbits from the 1970s or so. It takes a lot to keep track of the varying protagonists as the generations pass in the 'Warriors' series, and I admire the author's ability to plot such an intricate, long-lasting world. My kids both loved these at about 10 years old, and the now 18-year old asked for the set in order to re-read them all. No higher recommendation than that!

My 9-year-old daughter isn't a big fan of reading, but she LOVES the Warrior Cat books and often checks out copies from the school library. I am surprising her with this set for Christmas - she will LOVE it! (And it encourages her to read! Win, win!)
