Baby TrendFlex-Loc Car Seat Base, Black

Good as a duplicate to save from buying an entire second car seat. My husband and I received the BabyTrend Travel Set (with the jogging stroller) as a gift from our registry. We registered for it based upon video reviews and the price point, thinking that if we were unable to get it purchased for us, that we would simply buy it ourselves. Once we received it, we decided that the easiest thing for us to do would be to buy a seat base for our other vehicle, so that we could easily transfer our son in his infant carrier from one vehicle to another. This isn't AS good as the one that comes with the set, as it moves just slightly more once strapped in. It's extremely subtle, but is not as rock solid as the original. The price point is good though (less than $40), and it seems very sturdy. I would definitely purchase again.

We bought a second one of these so grandma can bring the baby in her car when she is baby sitting. The seat itself is great but the base is very convenient to install. Our car is older and does not have the anchors so we need to use the seatbelt, but her car does have the anchors and the seat is so easy to install with the anchors. There is also a plastic bit in the back that changes the seat inclination. This is important to adjust (there should be an indicator on the seat) because not all seats in cars are sloped the same way, and the carseat is tested at a certain inclination.

It's a good base, but I had to return as it doesn't fit our carrier. We have a new Baby Trend Expedition infant seat and it does NOT work with this base. I thought since it's universal and the same exact brand a name it would. The parts that connect are different. The base that came with the car seat is different.

I had purchased the Baby Trend Cityscape Jogger Travel System, but needed another base for the car seat for a second car. I want to comment first on the wonderful customer service I received. I contacted the company to verify which base was compatible with the car seat, and they replied to my email promptly. This base works perfectly with the car seat. I also really like that it is adjustable so that you can ensure that the car seat is sitting leveled in the car. It's easy to set up and secure in the car.

Works well but is a b word to install and get tight enough. The car seat specialist at the NICU said it should only wiggle up to about an inch. I got it there but I really got my upper body workout that day. That is not a compliment.

Received the Seat Base within reason time noted by seller. Already had purchased the Baby Trend Travel System and am very familiar with this base unit. The unit is a genuine Baby Trend Seat Base. It comes in the original packaging with manufacturing date and source codes to identify any possible recalls. In this case there aren't any. The unit functions perfectly with the Columbia Model infant car seat but as Baby Trend states their system works with all their travel system models. I recommend this product and seller.

I have a new granddaughter and often take care of her. Of course, the base that came with the carseat was in my daughter's car. Having to strap the carseat into my truck when I took care of her was time consuming and cumbersome. With the additional base installed in my truck, it makes life much simpler to just drop the carseat in place or lift it out, knowing that she is safe and secure. I think that most families have 2 vehicles that they would carry a baby in and that this should be a more publicized option. I didn't know you could do this until I saw one at a thrift store and did some research on my own for the brand of carseat that my daughter had.

Fits great in my car. Certainly makes putting in and taking out the car seat so much easier. I gave a 4 star cuz it did not come with instructions for installation. Being a first time mom, instructions are much needed. I ended up youtubing how to install. Other than that, very satisfied and glad I purchased this.
