Great release for price point.
Great release. Looking for an affordable thumb release. Great for the price point. Can make a few adjustments depending on your needs.

Best Release for $100 I have ever shot
This is really a great release for the money. Top quality thumb releases of this caliber from Carter and Scott come in at twice the money. How this release has a 3.25 rating is unfathomable. My guess is that comments about comfort are related to not utilizing the release correctly. You can shoot this release with two fingers, three fingers, or all four engaged into the release. Using two fingers requires a very strong reward "back tension" to get the trigger to fire. With three or better yet, four fingers engaged you can provide counter-pressure to your thumb, so that when you pull reward the amount of pull that's required is very small. The type of sear on this release is just a great value. Nice, clean and crisp firing sear. I also have a Tru Fire Edge Four release, which is a cheaper release than the Fang 4, but is not even in the same class. For a mere $25 you get a pro quality release making the Tru Fire seem like a piece of junk. The Fang 4 does twist your D-Loop. I'm not sure that has any affect on anything, but just so you are aware. The Fang release is nice to setup as well since you can flip it enclosure shut around the D-loop, depending on how the release ends after you shoot it. Personally the release ends "open" for me when I shoot it. Some it ends "closed" so when your shooting league or practicing you can leave the "containment system" open, slick little feature.

Great release, unfortunately not comfortable enough
Prior to purchasing this Tru Ball Fang 4 finger release, I conducted quite a bit of research - even went so far as to call Tru Ball to get a little more insight; however, unfortunately the only bit of information I did not acquire was the size of the product and an idea of what size of hand would be most suited. I purchased the 4 finger thinking this be a more comfortable fit and allow for a more solid grip ; while I don't have the largest hands they are apparently to wide/large for this particular model (in my opinion). I typically draw anywhere between 62-70 lbs and I shoot anywhere from 2-6 times a week throughout the peak months and 3+/- times in off season. I didn't feel that over the long term I would be able to adapt and make this work.As far as the functionality, this was a great product, the adjustability of the thumb trigger was sufficient, the smoothness of the hook releasing was even better, I didn't make any adjustments to the "Fang" - didn't feel it necessary. From the trigger to the release of the bow string (via a D-Loop) the action was crisp/quick/quiet.So all in all, my only complaint (if you can call it that) is that there is no size reference for this product (or for many/most of the other releases either). I am going to make that recommendation to Tru Ball and other manufacturers that an included hand size reference would be very helpful, especially for those of us shopping online.I ended up returning the item to Amazon (BTW - Amazons return policy and ease is outstanding) at no fault of the item or Amazon,, it simple came down to a personal preference of wanting a more comfortable fit.

Tough, easy to adjust.
This release, the fang, was very easy to adjust to the tension I wanted compared to other similar ones. Very tough. Somehow it feel onto the dirt road I live on. When I found it it had been run over at least once. A few light taps with a hammer and except for some scratches you wouldn't know it. Didn't even need to readjust it. Photos are from after being fixed.
