Western Digital WD Grip Pack for My Passport Ultra 1TB with USB 3.0 Cable, Fuchsia (WDBZBY0000NPM-NASN)

This is a gray bumper-type protector for the My Passport Ultra which includes a cable in the matching color. I initially purchased it because I was not sure if the My Passport Ultra drive came with the appropriate cable or not. I can say that it does come with the appropriate cable - this just adds the bumper which snaps around the drive and a color-matched cable. If you are going to be moving your Passport drive around a lot, I could see that the bumper would add some protection; if it is just sitting on your desk or in a drawer then it is probably not really needed...

Realistically, this isn't going to save your 1TB My Passport Ultra if you drop it -- but it *will* reduce the number of nicks and dings the drive picks up in normal use. Also, if you've got a number of these drives, this is an easy way to help differentiate them so as to avoid confusion. My favorite part of the package is the little flat USB3 cable -- a real helper for travel.

I was very excited when I saw that there were colored grip packs available for my external hard drive.Purple is my favorite color and I knew I had to add it to protect the poor external that I will probably put through hell. The USB cord matches and its very sleek & easy to pack away. The color matches my computer perfectly and reflects a bit of personality and style to my all black external drive. Anyone that has a Western Digital My Passport Ultra definitely needs to get this.

It will offer little protection if the HDD were to fall from my desk or out of my pocket. You will need a well lined pouch. Maybe if it were to land on a side or corner, it may keep it from cracking. The accompanying connector is too short. The quality appears good. I bought it for its contrasting looks with the fuchsia colored drive it's protecting?

Loose most of the time and has little economic viability for work required to purchase.

Super cute, and cord is very heavy-duty. I bought it to protect my hard drive from falls, and it does seem to protect it nicely, bu I didn't expect to love the look so much. :) One thing, since they are different materials, the two pinks are not an exact match. I can live with it. They're still beautiful! :)

I have several portable 1- and 2-terabyte Passport drives. I format and use them for my Xbox One, Playstation and iMac. I color code them with these grips. Handy dandy items! The little usb cable is a bonus. The grip is flexible and easy to use; cutouts align perfectly.
