Mazuri | Juvenile Tortoise Food for Baby Tortoises | 8 Ounce (8 oz) Bag

My tortoise’s vet told me to get this because the quality is great, better nutrition than the other brands, and this the same brand that zoos feed their animals. I like how small the pellets are and you can barely smell it. I was skeptical at first, but I finally got it and mix it with fresh carrots, yellow squash, hay, and escarole. My tortoise is a very picky eater but when I give him this mixture he loves it. I feed this to him once a week.

Very small pellets that are easy for baby sulcata tortoise to eat and mine seem to love it. Wish they made bigger size bag.

Have a pair of Juvenile Cherry Head Tortoises. They love this product. Generally, give them a warm soak and, then, introduce the baby Mazuri. Give them fruits and vegetables in AM and Mazuri in the PM.

This is good tortoise food, for pellets, but you don’t want to feed this or any other pellets often. It’s an occasional treat for my tortoise, and I feel strongly that it should remain that way for every tortoise owner. They need to be eating natural, edible weeds and flowers, or they will have serious health issues. Don’t be lazy and let your tortoise stuff their face with pellets every day, just because it’s easy. If you’re looking for shortcuts, then you should pass your tortoise on to someone who can give it exactly what it needs. With that said, Mazuri is the only pellets I will buy, and my tortoise enjoys it. If you’re new to Mazuri, make sure to wet the pellets before feeding. Otherwise, your tortoise will have some difficulties eating it.

My young suclata is eating it dry and has no issues with eating it. Nice small pellets. I'm more than satisfied with it as well as my little friend.

Its pretty overpriced for what it is. It says baby tortoise but is basically the same as what you find in pet stores and its twice the price. It also took 3 weeks to arrive instead the the 3 days it promised so that was super. By the tike I got it I had already purchased something else, hense why I compared the two.
