Photocraft: Cool Things to Do with the Pictures You Love

I gave this to a friend of mine for Christmas and just got feedback from her that she loved it!! She is an avid photographer and always has a ton of photos that she keeps on her computer but they are never available for everyone to see. I do a lot of paper crafts and have been talking to her for ages about finding ways to display her beautiful work. Well, this book did what I could never do--convinced her to take her creativity a step further. I am still waiting to see what she had made but I'm sure it is spectacular. Now maybe I will have to take up photography so I can use some of the ideas in the book.

At present there are a number of website that will affix your own photos to a menagerie of products, just as soon as you upload a pic and pay the bill. Gotta love those guys, but there is still something to creating and constructing with one's own hands. Plus, I'm seeing that self-made items draw a lot more interest from customers. If the term "photocraft" instantly means something to you then this is a great resource for fundamentals, ideas, and tips for bringing photos to life in many different, appealing ways.

Cleaver ideas. Simple to make but professional looking quality. I'm always amazed by the creativity of artisans and crafters. I'd use several of the ideas in my home.

I tore the advertisement for this book out of a magazine 8 years ago and hung onto it. One day I would buy it and make marvelous things with all my pictures. When it arrived in the mail, I held my breath. To my dismay, I found unless you have tons of time on your hands, you won't be making "cool things" with your pictures. It was much more involved and complicated than I thought it would be. I was thoroughly disappointed. Maybe when I retire....

Some really cool ideas in this book. I have not had a chance to do any of them yet but thinking some of these might make some unique Christmas gifts for the family.

Great book for projects for young and old. Holidays, birthdays and other events can be enjoyed with photo projects with this book.

This is a fantastic book!! I am an avid photography nut! and I love to be able to use my photos in a creative way!! I can't wait to try some of these ideas!! Great color photos, etc.
