Properly adjustable for various radio frequencies from 70mhz up to gig range. Antenna will work for freqs below 70mhz however will not be as sensitive as a proper, longer antenna for lower freqs.This antenna is good for wideband portable communications receivers. May also work for police scanners with adjustments in length of antenna to find happy medium between low and higher freqs.This antenna is very stout when collapsed and will make a portable receiver clumsy while transporting. Removing the antenna may be more convenient while not in use.Works well, glad I purchased it.

I purchased this for my scanner and haven’t had any issues with reception so far. My only complaint is that it isn’t made very well. After a few months the antenna broke off at the connector. It looked to just be glued on somehow. I glued it back and it’s working fine but I don’t expect it to last.

attached to my bearcat scanner and in the extended position was able to get noticeably better reception. i was pleased with the heft and quality of the antenna as well as the function. overall i would recommend this telescoping antenna

Works great so far.I’m not very good at seeing a difference, but it seems to be better. There is a chart on the antenna that tells you how far to extend it.Since I have an SDS 100, I got a SMA male to BNC connector. If you have this scanner or a 436, I recommend getting one from this site.unidenscanners .com.

There’s nothing magical about this antenna, and that’s just fine. It is well made with high quality construction and materials. The SMA fits well on my icom handheld, and it is longer than the stock antenna which helps pull in more signals. Recommend.

Great antenna! Perfect for monitoring military air. Also pulls in CB radio from far distances. Overall a very good antenna for whatever band you monitor.

Tengo muy buen alcance en la banda aérea (+-7 KM) y muy buena recepción en las bandas VHF y UHF, la antena es larga y no es tan frágil, buen alcance incluso totalmente retraída. Es una muy buena opción para sustituir en Scanners Análogos; desconozco y funcione correctamente con trunking o señales digitales.
