My wife smokes outside on the deck and there is no roof. We (I'm an ex-smoker) used regular ash trays and they would fill with water, snow and ice and the ashes would blow all over the picnic table. If you're a smoker you know exactly what I am talking about. This little thing is nice. Has never blown over or off the table and the lid stays on so never any water, snow or ice in it after a storm. The raised butt putter-outer makes putting out the butt ember easy. It's such a cool little thing it almost made me want to start smoking again. I say little because it's a perfect for personal (one person) use. Not something you would want to use for multiple smokers at a party.

This ashtray is perfect! While it is not advertised as waterproof it did rain and no water made its way inside with the lid on.Update: Some of the paint is starting to come off but to be fair it does live outside and has gotten a lot of use.I just went to purchase a 2nd one for our RV and the price is now 19.99 as opposed to the 13.99 I paid for the first one. At 13.99 I think it is a great deal but at 19.99 with the paint issues not so much.

A miss order on my part. But, hey, she works. Industrial look and not very pretty, but very sturdy and hides the butts. Not ugly. Low key emblem on side, small and hardly noticeable. I bet no one would really know it's an ashtray when the lid is on. Keeps that smell "in there" well for someone who doesn't like to keep up with the ashtray. Holds a lot before emptying is a necessity. I haven't cleaned it really, only emptied. Top opening at top is not very large. It would be challenging to have more than one cigarette resting at a time. The picture actually shows this well, if you pay attention. Quality made.

I love this ashtray. Its easy to clean. Easy to use. Very sturdy. Would make an amazing gift for any smoker. This is one of the best ashtrays i purchased. Pretty inexpensive especially for the size

It was time for a new ashtray and this one seemed perfect since it has a lid. The large is bigger than I expected which is nice bonus and the lid keeps the smell inside. It had a few scuff marks on the top but it doesnt affect the function.

This ashtray is so cool. It has a shelf at the top of the opening to put your cigarette out on,... you can rest your cigarette on the sides. It will rest up to 3 cigarettes. It holes a LOT of butts. The lid is great for keeping the smoke and smell of smoke closed off. It’s sturdy, looks nice in any area, easy to empty.

My daughter likes that this has a lid. If it gets tipped over then the ashes are not all over. It blocks the wind when outside, so your cigarette doesn't go out. It is durable.
