You will want it to be put on the top shelf if you wash it in the dishwasher.

Steel wool and reseason. Store in a dry place after you hand dry.

Q: How do you get a refund because the pancake dispenser broke only after 2 times?

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for that unless you get ahold of Amazon but I know it's plastic and you just have to be careful with it and make sure it's completely clean so no pancake batter gets held up on the bottom to where it'll stick. Sorry this is not helpful on the return but if you decide to purchase another one just be gentle.
