Just enough shade, easy to install, well made
I have a covered patio with a southwestern exposure, and at certain times of year the afternoon sun bakes the patio making uncomfortable to sit outside even with a ceiling fan. I wanted some shade but didn't want to block airflow. I considered a outdoor blind, but they were harder to install and looked somewhat ugly at best. I saw a shade sail at Costco, but it was too big for the what I needed so off to Amazon for more options. This size (8' triangle) fit my needs perfectly, the triangular shape blocks the sun at the time of day when it heats up the patio, but doesn't block the breeze. My plants get enough light and I don't need to worry about a rolled up blind getting mold/mildew.The recommended hardware kit had everything I needed to mount the sail. I like the turnbuckle approach vs ropes, as taking it down just requires a step ladder and unhooking 3 points. I could see leaving this up all year long. There were a lot of color options and sizes/shapes to choose from.Post installation my patio felt much more comfortable in the afternoon. I'll have to see how it performs in the next rain storm to head our way and/or on windy days.Cons: Installation instructions are oversimplified. I did some research and a bit of math to ensure I was placing the hardware in the right location to tension the sail, including allowing for the length of the mounting hardware in my calculations.

Pool Deck
Got these for my pool deck and they are beautiful.. work perfect, rain is able to pass through and keeps the sun out.

Less shade due to curves in design
Looking at the photos it isn’t very apparent that there are curves in the design, it’s not a true solid triangle which I would have preferred. Looks like a thong. Because of the inward curve it seems much smaller than an 8x8x8 and creates less shade. I now wish I would have gotten a square one.Quality is good and has held up against monsoon season, just wish there was more coverage.

Heavier than I thought!
Really does the job. It was pretty easy to hook up where we needed it. Just enough shade, but if I ordered again I would get a little larger. All in all I like it.

Shaded and Cool
Ok. I really liked the quality on this sun shade...the color is perfect for the application, and I was thoroughly impressed by the availability of the various sizes of sails this company offered. You will be happy with this brand. Great value...

It does the job
It is nicely made and I use this to shade a small backyard window, up against the house, from the sun. I drilled two small pilot holes into the studs under the soffit and I screwed in sturdy eye screws with closing clamps to clasp it in nicely. I tied the other end to a tree at a slant so that the rain rolls off. It is working well! I just take it down on really windy days, for obvious reasons.

Definitely not the size you would think!
8’ x 8’ should have been plenty for what I needed but even fully tight not a single side is close to 8’. Another downside is that it is not even close to a right angle as you can see in the photo. The gate and fence are at 90* , the sun shade is in the corner but the sides are about 18”-20” short. Even it pulled so tight it could pull a building down there is no way this shade is 8’ x 8’.
