Great liver support supplement.
We have a senior pup who tore her CCL and had a negative reaction to a medication she was prescribed. The reaction caused abnormal liver values. After doing research, we learned that milk thistle was great for liver health. We began using Zesty Paws to help her liver heal from the pain medication she was given. After about 4-6 weeks of the Liver Support Bites, we had her retested and her liver values were normal. Our vet surgeon asked what we did and we provided him with information on this product. He stated that we had made a great choice and that it brought the liver values back to a normal range. We've used multiple Zesty Paws products and our pups seem to enjoy the taste, size, texture, and smell as we've had no issue in getting them to take their supplements. I'd highly recommend these products if you're looking for a non-rx supplement.

My dog will not eat these or even touch his food if I try crumble just one into his food
Update: although this product unfortunately wasn’t something my dog would touch, I’m updating my review and giving the COMPANY 5 stars. There is 100% satisfaction guarantee on these products, but I never reached out. They recently reached out to ME offering a full refund for the product based on my review. I respect highly that they take the time to read all of the customer experiences AND to reach out and offer refunds to anyone who didn’t have a great experience. Additionally, I stand by the fact that of all of the supplements for liver health that I found, this product has the most comprehensive list of beneficial ingredients that I was looking for. If they’d make it in a tablet form that I could easily hide from my picky little man, I most assuredly would have him back on this product. Thanks for caring and being a stand up company, genuinely more concerned about animal health than you are about just money. This supplement has everything I want and need for my fur kid who badly needs liver support. Unfortunately none it does me any good because he despises them and can smell it in anything. Like this company’s probiotic that I purchased for my other dog- who also refuses to eat them- they are not so much chews as dried out crumbles that literally fall apart. They are also very large and the consistency doesn’t allow for simply breaking off pieces and hiding them in something delicious. They just fall apart. These products aren’t inexpensive and I may as well have thrown money away. Whomever wrote the reviews and THINKS that they have picky dogs either purchased a different formulation or they don’t know what a picky dog is. And I’m fact, my dog really isn’t picky at all. So these must be pretty gross. They stain my hands orange and I wouldn’t eat them either. The calming chews were recommended by a French bulldog website but both of the products I wasted too much money on also had rave reviews. I just don’t feel like any of their products, at this point, are likely to be palatable if they describe these as palatable and expect dogs to eat them. They really do have everything but the kitchen sink in them and ingredient wise are amazing. However, that’s not in any way useful to me if my dog won’t eat them and they can’t be hidden. This company should consider discontinuing alleged chewables (that really just fall apart like sand clumped together) and maybe put these ingredients into smaller tablet form that CAN be hidden or administered by hand.

Effective
Some of the comments about the smell are a bit dramatic. It doesn’t smell that bad and they are effective. My dogs liver functions are back in normal range.

So Far So Good - Will Update
My 14-year-old Miniature Schnauzer's blood work came back with elevated liver enzymes and low red blood cells. He has always had bad dental problems due to his genetics. He is due for a deep cleaning and extractions again for the 2nd time; however, the vet will not put him under with his bloodwork and enzymes the way they are. The vet started him on pulse antibiotics and pain meds and we have started giving him these once a day to try and get his enzymes balanced. We have had no problems with him eating them. We drop it in his food bowl with his breakfast and he goes for it 1st. Will update my review based on updated bloodwork in 3 months. They do smell bad but I'm not the one eating them and I transfered them to an airtight container to keep them fresh. We started the chews a week before his pulse meds and we noticed an overall improvement in his activity level and easier bowel movements. A little on the pricey side but if it helps him and he likes them then it's worth it for my fur buddy.

5/25 UPDATE to 5 stars is for customer service, not the product
UPDATE 5/25: customer service is excellent, that is the bump from 3 stars to 5. But new customers beware, the five star ratings you’re seeing are for zesty paws customer service and not the actual product. It’s kind of a skewed result for this particular product so make sure you read the reviews and see if the stars are coming from the product or the refund we’re getting. NOTE: I also use zesty paws probiotics, and they work great, I’ve left a 5-star rating on that item for the actual product itself. This is a great brand and they offer good products, this one was just a miss for us. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really hoped my boys would eat these... My one boy has been taking the Probiotic for a few years now and has been a lifesaver. He used to throw up bile every night because he was such a picky eater and his belly would be empty so he would have to take the purple pill like humans for the acid reflux. The Probiotic fixed that and I will NEVER run out of that!! I was very disappointed in the Liver chew as my boys will not eat it. My probiotic boy did originally, but after about 3 containers he was done. My other boy would never eat it so I would crush it up and mix it in with his food...which he was not pleased with. I was hoping to return them, but Amazon is saying they are not eligible...bummer. I recommend the Probiotic chews to all of my clients all the time (I'm a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter so I get asked questions all the time about supplements and more quite frequently).

Strong smell that my dogs don’t like
I had high hopes for this product but none of my dogs will touch these supplements. All three of my dogs. I tried to even put them in a pill pocket and they spit them out.
