Surprisingly durable
The plate, bowl, and cup are nice and sturdy. The utensils are unimpressive, especially the spoon, which is flimsy, oddly shaped, and mostly not useable. Expect to carry different silverware than what this comes with. The dishes however feel like quality, study tupperware. Not that 4 for $1 Ziploc junk, but actual tupperware. They are very rigid, but also sleek and good looking. The finish is nice and glossy, so the dishwasher is probably not recommended if you want to keep them that way. They are dishwasher safe, but it will dull the appearance more quickly.Bought for girl scout camp and they have held up nicely. Very durable dishes, minus the utensils. ( the pictures show titanium travel ware that we used in place of the included utensils.)

Good for Scouting
I purchased this mess kit of our son when he transitioned to Boy Scouts. It goes camping with him on a monthly basis and has worn quite well. We do put it in the dishwasher after each weekend and it all still looks brand new. I like that it is bright orange so he can't lose it and it is easily distinguished from what everyone else has. This was a good purchase.

Disappointed
Disappointed: Bought 2 sets recently for use in a Scout camp. It is not easy to clean. Somehow, the food residue remained stuck on the plates even after washing using nominal amount of water and soap. So after we returned from the camp we put the plates, cups and bowls in the top rack Dishwasher for clean up prior to stowing away. Found out both the plates and the bowls bent out of shape after going thru the first wash cycle. I'm very disappointed. Giving 2 stars for good look and utility otherwise....waste of money

Value buy.
Average. Nothing particularly bad or good.the spoon is rather flat. I purchased green, orange and blue sets. The color coding is helpful in our family. Size is nice and fits inside my Camp chef Sherpa kitchen. The mesh bag not only keeps everything contained but makes drying a cinch too. I know there are better sets; but for the price, I like my choice.

Perfect for set for camping/backpacking
Great dishes for hiking/camping. Lightweight and sturdy enough for my occasional use while out camping. The utensils could be a little sturdier, but I have a set for camping I use any way, so not a deal breaker, but handy to have nonetheless. Packs away neatly in it's own mesh carry bag and fits nicely in my backpack. All dishes are normal sized and I like that because I can down some camp chow lol. Would buy again if the occasion arises.

Great mess kit
I purchased several of these through the Boy Scout store, but when a piece would inevitably get misplaced by my young family, I would need to replace the missing piece. This is the same kit as the BSA kit, although it looks like the flatware has gone through a change or two since I originally purchased my kits. I've never had one break or get damaged. Very durable. The net bag makes drying the set after washing very easy and tidy. My only issue is that these like to hold onto oils and grease. If we fry up some bacon or eat something greasy, we have to use a good amount of detergent or alkalinity booster to remove the fat from the kit.

Nice quality constructed plastic
Nice quality constructed plastic. It may be a little bit hard to hold very hot food in it, so you have to be careful. I wish it came with an all in one eating utensil instead of three separate pieces.

Good Product, Cost Effective
This is a great product especially for the price. I do not understand about the complaints regarding the spoon. It is exactly what I expected, the bowl of it is curved for scooping and not flat, the utensils are thicker and sturdier than disposable plastic cutlery and seem durable. Great for a little camping set. I love that it comes in a little mesh bag, makes it easy to keep everything together. These will do well at GS Camp this summer.
