To be honest I'm really struggling to see why there are so many negative reviews about this little saw. I started to use it today for the first time and I've never used it before and it came with a nice 2ah charging pack slightly bigger than the one that's standard on the photo and I think this seems to be the case these days but you will not be disappointed with this saw it has been absolutely exemplary. Furthermore the issue regarding the laser-guided light works fine and it's pretty accurate within 1 mm or so again I don't know what all the negative reviews are about but saw has cut through a number of decking planks for me still has lots of charge left and as made easy work of the decking it also had the ability for me to do a drop cut you have to be careful with this as you have to leave the blade guard up but I managed to get the saw into the decking and created easy work for myself going along 7 planks with no issues at all There is no issue with the charging as per previous review as you simply plug the DC plug adapter into the battery. No faffing or breaking possible. it's super light and the battery pack charges very quickly from the mains. I definitely will be using this as my go to circular saw for future use for day-to-day cuts and anything larger will have to be used with the larger circular saw which is mains operated I do agree that in some respects they've tried to keep the cost down by using for example the plastic instead of metal when you're aligning the cutting width and you can see there are a little bit of plastic around the item rather than actually maybe stainless steel but this is cosmetic and to be honest for occasional use the diyer highly recommend it and moreover it allows you to cut thicker pieces of wood which is typically not the case with most mini circular saws as you will see on Amazon if you look at their cutting depth I have no hesitation in recommending this product

A good tool for general use and great value

Given the £58 price tag I did not expect too much from this saw, especially as it comes with a battery that alone costs £33, but it's not *that* bad... Nice design and sturdy, it packs a lot of features, tiltable base, laser guide, adjustable depth, etc. It's a great tool, but it's not perfect... I was cutting 6 stacked sheets of 5mm ply (so around 30mm thick) and the saw would stop every few inches. Max cutting depth on the saw is nearly 50mm, so I'm not sure if the blade was getting pinched, jammed or the saw or battery simply didn't have to power to cut that much though. I did eventually get through all the ply, but it took far more time than it should have and several recharges of the battery. Fortunately I have several GALAX Pro tools so had spare batteries... This is a good 'starter' circular saw, if you can get on with it then great, otherwise upgrade later to a more powerful one.

This saw is brilliant at sawing through many types of materials and I am very impressed with it. It is very powerful with a long lasting battery for added convenience. *****

It works for some tasks, but most of the time the tool cuts out every couple of inches or so (tested on 20mm solid wood, 12mm laminate flooring, 20mm chipboard) , so it seems the batteries are not really fit for purpose. I've tried it with two batteries and it is the same on both. Once the charge level drops one bar, the tool is unusable without swapping battery.

Rubbish, broke after 3 months and now I can't return it. Where's the 1 uear warranty? Do not buy one of these!!!!!

Excellent product, the laser pointer is an extremely Excellent bit of kit, never cut wood with such precision before. Not too heavy, long lasting battery, easy to use. Great Quality materials and brilliant value for money
