Easy to make a repair.
My sister-in-law has 6 chairs with a cane back. Some how one of the chairs developed a whole in the cane. While I was visiting she started talking about buying a new table and chairs. I new I could easily repair her chair, and it looks good as new! She was extremely happy and pleased.

Strong quality webbing
This was my first attempt to replace a damaged seat of an antique rocking chair that I had rescued from a burn pile and restored. The previous seat was done by a professional in another state and was no longer available. I built some of my own tools to install the webbing. I have since repaired a chair. The process is not as difficult as it appears to be.

a good quality kit
This was just what I needed to replace some old broken seating in a chair that my dad repaired for me 50 years ago. The suggestion to soak replacement cane for 30-45 minutes was not enough, I soaked it for 3 hours and then it was pliable enough to install. Other than that, the instructions were good.

It’s not 72” long!
I ordered this brand because it says that it has an extended length of the cane webbing of 72 inches. It is not even close. It’s more like 18 inches. I do not have enough to complete even part of one chair. It was a complete waste of money.

Beautiful results - Excellent kid
The quality of the product is very good and it was nice to have three different sizes of the edging available. The instructions are somewhat vague and a few steps seem to be left out. The best thing to do is go to YouTube.com and search for how to do the replacement, the videos are clear and provide some great advice. The job itself is straight forward and you'll be amazed at the results.

Not bad for the first time.
First time experience attempting this came out fairly well.Webbing required a 2 hour soak in warm water to become sufficiently pliable. I probably could have soaked the material even longer. Spline required about 30 minutes soaking to become pliable enough to conform to the curves in the project.Wedges provided were a bit on the thick side. I sanded them so that they fit the chair groove along with two thicknesses of webbing. I also rounded off the sharp edges a bit.

Fabulous
Easy self fix project. Expect to devote a few hours to clean and work with product but I have upcycled a beautiful rocking chair for the beach house for under $40. Great value and super easy instructions
