Nifty Case
The Rpi4 is incredibly versatile and portable so a sturdy case to keep it tidy and safe is important. This case is durable, well designed, and effective. The case does get quite hot under load which informs me the heat sink is functional, the thermal pad is a nice touch. Because the case has a considerable mass relative to the Pi it offers plenty of surface area for cooling. Because the feet are low profile and the bulk of the heat is on the underside, the surface you place the pi on is something to consider. A glass table top or granite counter for example help sink heat further and it is possible to locate the pi for better airflow. To make a complete setup I added two HDMI pigtail adapters and a rather handy 8-35v to 5v 3A USB-C power supply.I added the Anderson power pole connector to the power supply to function from my car or off a portable power source. I was pleased to discover the two mounting tabs on this power supply will mount using the included case screws if you put two small extenders on. This makes for a complete ready-to-go package through the supply does cover some of the pinouts which on one hand keeps them safe, but on the other precludes their use. For an all-in-one portable computer, the package is ideal. The Amazon link for the power supply if you are interested: https://www.amazon.com/HOMREE-Step-Down-Converter-Module-Charger/dp/B07ZQB6S3L/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_rp_c_2_4/138-3541069-5278503?pd_rd_w=UJBul&pf_rd_p=b84519b4-0dcf-432b-8d9a-2d8045a876e9&pf_rd_r=MXBF7P8DTQNXCQTNBNZ3&pd_rd_r=1ae8c705-f1ab-4f35-b44b-0d5279e37a48&pd_rd_wg=MEykr&pd_rd_i=B07ZQB6S3L&psc=1

Best Case for Pi 4 wish it was for Pi 5
Best case and it stays cool under load. Very durable and solid build quality. I wish they make this exact case for Pi 5 because EDA Tech overheats with sustained loads.

Full Metal Raspberry
Without a doubt, this was designed to meet and exceed all the major functions of a case for the Raspberry Pi 4.• Protection: Solid. The aluminum-alloy body is no joke. You could probably drive a car over it and not damage the Pi (just keep the tires off the exposed USB ports.)• Passive-cooling: No issues here. I would only echo other reviewers' criticisms on the instructions for thermal pad placement. The images on the Amazon listing page clearly shows how to cut and place one thermal pad.The images also show that there is another thermal pad strip that is included in the kit. You're on your own with these. Do what you think is most logical. The last image on the Amazon listing page are the same instructions that come with the product, so you can see what I mean.• Accessibility: The product images tell you everything you need to know. Full access.• Appearance: Elegant. This is one of those products where form and function converge on unity. It's minimalistic without sacrificing utility. It immediately impresses people who appreciate the subtle intent that's evident in good design. My only issue is with the adhesive on the rubber feet. They will fall off without much force. If you choose to attach them, I highly suggest supplementing with a durable adhesive of your choice. The feet are clear, so choose wisely if you want it to still look pretty.

Wonderful design!
I _really_ love this case! I purchased a second as soon as the first one was up and running. Here are a few things that are not obvious about the case at first:- The metalized sticker can be removed. It's SHARP so be careful!- The header pins ARE NOT fully below the top surface of the case! You'll short something if you aren't careful. I put kapton over the top of mine just in case- The bottom has 4 threaded holes that can be used for mounting it to things. The rubber feet will cover them if you put them where it makes sense.- The plexiglass piece is so you can see the indicator LEDs on the RPi4's board. This is a great idea!- The overall design is really good as well. The instructions are clear, and the heatsink pads are just the right thickness.- The case does get pretty warm under load, but it doesn't throttle at all from what I can tell.I may design and 3d print a fan bracket to go on the bottom of the case using those mounting holes. It would be nice to have a little additional cooling when you really need it.I highly suggest this case!
