Q: When this bag is opened flat, is there access to the top half?

Yes the top has an internal cover flap, The bags are great. First bags that we have had that the air line did not break something. Made a trip to Alaska and another to Canada.

Q: Does it stand upright once fully pack?

If you pack it so that your heavy stuff is located on the wheel end it will stand. We really like our bags and they have made several cruses and plane rides without damage.

Q: Is this made with your duramax balistic nylon as in your revolution plus series?

I only purchased this item. I do not work for Pathfinder. I will tell you the case and material is of excellent quality.
