This is a good beater fountain pen for everyday use with one flaw.You can't just pick it up and start writing, you have to prime it first by holding it kept down for some period of time.This is okay if it's carried in a shirt pocket tip down but if you just leave it laying around on the table you're going to have to allow a little bit extra time before you start writing

This pen is genuinely lousy. It isn't anything like any of the other great Pelikan pens I have had . It simply will not write. It is also hideously ugly. Has Pelikan farmed out design and manufacture to North Korea!?

Very smooth writing medium nib. Large cartridges available. Most international converters don't work, go for the Pelikan or Schmidt brand: they fit loose, but the barrel provides pressure to tighten the connection.Plastic clip broke early while securing pen to bag. :<
