Epicurean Kitchen Series Cutting Board, 11.5-Inch × 9-Inch, Nutmeg

I had many different wood cutting boards even fancy ones and i kept replacing them because no matter how well i took care of them they cheep and start having dents which is impossible to disinfect and i can never put them in the dishwasher. I bought this unique cutting board two years ago wondering will it make a difference, but ho boy I was wrong not only I put this one in the dishwasher as many times as I want and nothing happened, every time I have a few knife marks from cutting I take a scotch pad scratch it and it's like new!!! I have had the larger size of this same brand of cutting board for over 10 years and just bought the smaller one for quick jobs. They wash up well and do not hold any stains or deep knife marks (only light surface scratch marks from use). I bought them because they are made of nontoxic material and because the non-porous surface doesn't harbor bacteria. I expect I will use these for many years to come.

I own six of these in various sizes and have used them for years. They are made of a composite material which is extremely versatile. The surface, although somewhat resembling wood, doesn't cut like a wood board, eliminating splinters while withstanding constant use by very sharp knives. The hardness of the board does not harm the sharpness of my Shun knives. The boards are thin and light, which makes them easy to handle and store. The surface will not absorb liquids as witnessed by how fast they air dry after washing. Clean up is a snap - rinse, quick wipe with some Dawn on a sponge, rinse, air dry. I have never put them in a dishwasher (why would you?), so I can't speak to that. I do use a fancy, thick maple cutting board for aesthetic effect when carving at table, but rarely because of the cleaning and seasoning I have to do afterwards.As the title says, the Epicurean cutting boards are the finest available. I'd be hard pressed to say what else I could possibly want in a cutting board.

This is a great cutting board. It is sturdy and doesn't scratch at all. It is a great value and stores easily because it is so thin. It is functional for cutting veggies or meat and things like bread. It doesn't slide around on the counter when I'm cutting. And I love that it is not plastic or wood so I don't have to worry about any of the toxic chemicals in plastic or bacteria getting trapped in wood. It is made of a composite material.

Epicurian always comes through and have always loved their cutting boards. They are almost indestructible. I bought 2 of them 5 years ago with rubber ends that keep it from moving around. This one does move around a bit, as it has no rubber feet (they make ones that do, just not in this size), not when cutting but wiping with a rag, it will move. Perfect size for what I need. I bought a different unknown brand first, for just a bit less but it was warped, no matter which side I placed it, it would not sit flat. Just stick with Epicurian and pay the small increase. You will have it for years after all.

These cutting boards are great. I had another larger (same brand) and it is still going strong after 18 years! This one looks to be just as good - great product I highly recommend

As people already said it - these smelled so bad, washing them, soaking them did nothing. I bought two different sizes, removed the tag from the little one and soaked it, it remained as stinky and sticky as ever. Whatever coating was used on them, it does not get off. One of them also came marked with what looked like a black spray and it was damaged.Now, since there are many good reviews too, which is why I ordered them, it is possible I just wasn’t as lucky and got the bad batch.All in all, I returned them.Do have in mind - when returning, a box is needed and you have to pay. So I spent additional $10 to return these two boards.Disappointed beyond repair.

I was looking to replace my plastic cutting boards but wanted something that was dishwasher safe. So far this has been great. It washed well and I’m very happy with it.
