I bought this rod because I wanted a pack rod that was easy for me to take when I go salmon fishing. Sometime you got to trek off the trail to get to the fish. This rod has been pretty handy for this exact purpose. It’s lightweight and easy to assemble and comes with a handy hard carry case, to protect it as I go through the woods. I have taken it out twice how and each time t has worked great, I’m surprised at how sensitive it is but I can easily feel my eggs bumping on the bottom when I’m drifting eggs. Totally recommend this rod, pair it with a 4000 size reel and the uses are pretty wide. I’ll add pictures of the fish caught once I get them. Edit: Two years in and this rod is still kicking. There was a time where I broke the plastic screw on the reel seat but customer service sent me a new piece and I was good to go. I’ve been using it a lot this year fishing for pink salmon and it’s been great!! Highly recommend.

I really wrestle with price vs quality in searching for a travel rod. My family and I and moving to Costa Rica this year and having the right gear was super important to me. I decided on the Goture 10’ Absolute steal. Came brand new just as advertised. Tested it out that night and the next morning lol. I was initially leary of the weight because fully assembled it seemed pretty light for what I planned to land with it. It really does have an above average backbone. I plan on purchasing a 15’ rod as well. Great Quality materials. The inside of the cap is padded as well for protecting your rod tips. Check out Florida Fishing Collective online. Starting this summer I plan on putting the rods to the test every day in CR. Super excited about the 15’ travel Surf Rod. I’m planning on purchasing that in the next few weeks so I’ll let you know how that goes once I receive it. Tight Lines.

A lot of negative reviews here say that the rod broke after/during the first use. Looks if it is not, it is very good rod. There is no big variety of 3 or more steps folding rods that are convenient for a travel. This one is. Even on surf fishing where it was probably lighter than usual surf equipment it gracefully handled the environment. So after this summer and a number of fishing trips the rod is OK. I would recommend.

For the price it's an awesome rod. Fairly well built. Casts well. Is it as nice as a st croix travel rod? No. But I'm sure happy with it.

Caught a ton of big fish with this, and it's holding up great. This thing really lets you cast far. Sturdy case. Great for transport, eg. flights.

After opening the box, the first word that came to my mind was "Wow!". Then I started to unwrap this awesome looking rod. I know it's 8pm but I had thoughts of going fishing.😎 After a bad experience with my previous order, rod tip shaft was broken. Evidently, during the packaging process. So I decided to shop a little more and I came across this GOTURE. The reviews were outstanding and this rod actually cost less than my previous purchase, which I returned. I must say, I couldn't be happier with my decision to change routes. I mean, check out the presentation, and the handy travel tube with the strap is a winner in itself. Can't wait to give this baby a go. Kudos To GOTURE for making such a beautiful, affordable travel rod.

Bought this cheap travel pole. I have to admit the tip is soft enough to feel if a fish is on the line and the pole is tough enough to catch 5-10lb fish. The 4 peice sections makes it very portable to bring anywhere. I would rate this a 5 star for portability, travel convenience, and sturdiness l.
