It works as advertised
This is a must if you've wanted to try this locking 45* bevel bit. People who know how to use the bit use it for cutting down on the use of scrap wood for adjusting height and fence depth. If you've never tried but want to, it cuts down on a lot of the learning curve as it's not easy to tell which adjustment to make. This is a game changer in that respect. I recommend this product and most everything else Rockler sells. Enjoy your set up and when it's perfect the joint is extremely strong without the use of biscuits, staples, brads or anything else.

Will not work for Freud bit 99-034
This Rockler set up jig looks to be well made but it does not work with Freud miter lock bit #99-034. The profile is very different. I'm still giving it 5 stars because the part is well made and came with clear instructions. Rockler never claimed this jig would work with the Freud bit, so i knew it was a gamble when I purchased it. The packaging says "Router Bit Set-Up Jigs for 22627 45* Lock Miter Bits"Amazon had these parts grouped with their "commonly purchased together" upsell option, so I was hoping they might work together. Amazon's amazing return policy made the experience relatively painless.

I'm sure that for the correct bit this works great.
Doesn't actually fit the CMT version of this style of bit, but I was able to use it to at least properly eyeball the height and that significantly cut down on the amount of trial and error adjustment required. I'm sure that for the correct bit this works great.

Good enough for the girls I go with
Look, I know these types of jigs get a bad rap but here’s the thing…no, it’s not going to do all the work for you. Just like any other tool in your shop, it takes a minute to get a feel of it and see how this tool is going to work for you. It took me a few try’s because no, it wasn’t spot on right away. That being said, I did finally find the sweet spot and now setting up my bit is quicker and easier than any other way I had been doing it before! For that reason, I am giving it five stars. It’s exactly what I expected and is worth every penny!

kinda fits
this gives you a near fit but it depends on what bit it was made for, even thou bit might be 3/4 they are not all the same, that happened to me, on mine it almost fits but has a differential of about a millimeter point five, sounds like nothing but in detailing it really makes a difference.

Another must have jig for me
Ok, so you purchased a router 45 deg lock bit, now what? Unless you're Norm Abrams they are a pain to set up. As a novice I needed help and this jig does that. Pretty easy to set up the router bit and I've only had to make minor adjustment and running test wood though it. I also purchased a corner lock bit and bought the corner lock jig that I'll be leaving a review for. Both are must haves if you want these types of joints and are a novice like me.

A real time & frustration saving jig
I’m glad I purchased this jig. As a woodworking novice with aging eyes, It’s difficult finding the center of the 45° glue joint router but this is for. And if your wood isn’t the exact height of the bit, you end up making a lot of wasteful test cuts as you zero in getting the perfect height on your router table. And while test cuts are still needed, far fewer were needed when I used this jig. And once I was perfectly zeroed in, I was able to mark the jig for the particular board thickness I was using, So next time I use the 45° bit for this sized board, my custom marked jig will get me zeroed in very quickly.
