Berkley Gulp! Alive! Minnow Fishing Soft Bait

This actually outperformed live bait on a recent ice fishing trip. You do however have to work this bait instead of just letting it sit but it did catch numerous bass, perch and bluegill.

This is a good bait for alot of fish. Has a very fishy smell,which makes them very attractive to fish.

I am primarily a creek fisherman here in the South, and these fish can be persnickety about bait and presentation. I gave these minnows a go after seeing a couple folks using them, and boy howdy do they work. I took them out to a creek where I usually catch a few, but not a lot, of mixed species. With the gulp minnow I was catching fish nearly every cast. Largemouth like them, and bluegill, green sunfish, rock bass, and black crappie all had a go at the minnow. Even channel cats will crush his lure. They don't smell terrible, and they are reasonably durable given how soft they are(caught 5-6 fish on one before it started looking torn and tired).

Like buying a bag of Lay's Potato Chips. you get half the amount that the container should hold but it still gets the job done. and cheaper than buying them in the little ziploc bags you find in stores. for some reason I can never find the jars in stores. Work a treat on smaller fish like sunfish, bluegill, etc. Bass might be interested as well, especially in the bigger ones.

The only lure i use for catching slabs. It doesn't matter if its gills or crappie. I've never used a bait that works as well as this does. I've caught as large as 4.5lbs bass on these little suckers.

I love these things. They are great for catching most fish. From purch to crappie. Great for kids, so easy to use and put on the hook. A lot better and easier than the old red wigglers.

These are the best jig baits I have ever used. I never get skunked using them.

The top of listing says 18oz tub. However the product description lower in ad says 11oz. Thats wat you get is 11oz.. I feel a bit let down by that.. I dont belive thats a honest mistake. Thanks for that..
