MAKES MUSIC RECORDING EASIER
I bought this to use with my CUBASE music recording/editing program to allow me to play my guitar and turn on record, stop, and return to start functions with my feet. Makes the work easier. As others have said, the rubber pads don't stop slipping on the floor, but I can mount it in a wood base or some other manner to solve that problem. Although made of plastic, it seems well built, was easy to set up, and so far works well. The downloaded manual implies that some models allow setting one function on press and another on release. The seller confirmed that this model does thst, but I haven't tried that feature does that. The product claims that it will last 2 million presses.

Great for Amputee Gamers
I lost an arm and I used to use the Stinky Footboard for playing FPS games on the computer. Unfortunately the company went out of business and you can't buy them anymore. I went through 4 very expensive New Old Stock BNIB Stink Footboards, only to have them quit working after a year. I finally decided to try and buy a generic USB foot controller and surprisingly this one was affordable and hasn't quit working after about 2 years. I abuse this controller and the springs and switches are still holding up after numerous hours of gaming. The app you can use to set which switches do what is simple to use. You set it and forget it and it just works. No ridiculous UI and complicated memory flashing to the controller. I'm sure this controller would be useful to anyone if you need extra buttons to press while gaming. I highly recommend this product to anyone that has accessibility problems.

I had to fix mine, but overall I like these pedals
I purchased these after I found out Logitechs latest gaming drivers interfere with my Scythe foot pedals (they are completely incompatible at the moment)I was happy to see that these foot pedals, and the software works just fine in conjunction with the Logi software.I have had them now for about 2 weeks, and the middle foot pedal suddenly quit working. Pressing the pedal would rarely work, and when it did work the key would stay pressed permanently. I disassembled the unit (very easy just remove the corresponding screw on the underside, and push out the pivot pin). The mechanism inside is very simple. It is nothing more than a light beam that is broken every time the pedals are pressed. Apparently the emitter and receiver on my pedals were not aligned very well with each other, I twisted one slightly so that it now lines up correctly. This step solved the issue of the key getting "stuck". However even after that, sometimes when pressed the switch still would not function. It almost seems the plastic material of the pedal that breaks the beam is reflective enough to somehow make its way to the receiver. I placed a dull piece of tape over the plastic that breaks the beam, and now it registers perfectly every time.Overall these are very cheaply constructed and very light (at least in comparison to my scythe pedals), and obviously can have some issues, but I think with some small tweaks they should last for a long time I hope. And they do, at least at this time work in conjunction with logitechs latest gaming software.

It Works
It works! My application is recording music on a Mac. The process sounds complicated but it is simple. You connect the pedal to a Windows PC and download the software listed in the instructions. Open the program and click on whichever pedal you want to assign to a key (for me pedal 1 is space bar, pedal 2 is R for record and pedal 3 is shift plus something).Think of it like MIDI mapping. Then I unplugged the pedals and plugged them into my MacBook (running Logic Pro, a music recording program). When I pressed the pedals it worked. Now I can record guitar “drop ins” hands free.Cheap but efficacious. It doesn’t look all that tough so I would take it on the road but in the home studio it should be totally fine

Nice while it lasted
After about a year of moderate use the right switch stopped working. I'm an electronics technician so of course I looked inside. It has what appears to be an optical sensor which has apparently lost sensitivity. If I remove the foot pedal and shine a light inside then it works, but as soon as the artificial light source is removed it quits. I sent an inquiry about replacement and/or parts to Ecloud ShopUS from whence I purchased mine and (as expected) received no reply. The other two pedals still work so I'm getting some use out of it while I search for a more robust replacement. UPDATE: The middle one now got stuck in a continuous activation. Thankfully it was not set to anything destructive. These things are pure junk.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Amazing how not clicking all the time relieves strain on the wrists. As long as I leave it on mouse clicks it seems to work. When I enter certain other settings (most recently "Left Arrow" and "Right Arrow) it says "settings successful" but fails to accept the new settings. Worse, after that the application fails to launch. Each attempt to launch it spawns another "FootSwitch.exe" which I have to kill off in the Windows Task Manager. Even after killing them the application still fails to launch - just keeps spawning useless "FootSwitch.exe" processes. Uninstalling & reinstalling does not fix it. Uninstall, reboot, then reinstall does get it working again until the next time - it's happened to me twice in less than a week.UPDATE: The software seems to have stabilized, at least the problem hasn't appeared recently. It's capable of handling any key combination I've thrown at it. Great for page turns for sheet music. It would be nice if it saved configurations for rapid switching between applications, but for the price it's a good value.
