Quality exceeds expectations with the price tag! Love these
Super happy with these affordable little tools... I use the heck out of them in my acrylic paintings, encaustic paintings, resin and varnishing. Essential little workhorses. I drop them into a bucket of water while doing messy painting like acrylic pours. Then wash off the blade (brain not functioning today... another word for that eludes me... bleh) and dry off for next pour painting. So those days they get extra abuse. Handles are comfortable, blade thingies are sturdy for leveling, contouring etc. your paint... super affordable! I "splurged" on a couple sets for my different mediums. I even use these as scrapers for the counter/ floor to get any puddles of varnish or resin off... um, well, I would... if I did accidentally make a mess like that once... or twice... if I didn't see it because it was clear and in a weird spot so it dried and I was forced to scrape it... theoretically they would work well for such a thing. My original set is nearing a year old... which might not seem much but if you've learned nothing else from my review you know I'm theoretically tough on my tools. I paint a lot too... and am always trying new things... so these poor things went thru some serious trials and have yet needed me to glue back on parts or toss them in the rubbish due to handles disintegrating from being in water buckets too long. (I did have that happen with two other pallet knifes, not this brand). The small one is super small... surprisingly I found myself using it for tiny details and getting the occasional stray hair out of the paint (note to self... go buy a hat to keep my hair up... and shave the cat). Nothing at all to complain about with the price and quality... in a perfect world this would have a large beast of a pallet knife as well... (in my perfect world that is lol) however, I found a good super cheap one on wish that's for cakes. So if your needing huge this doesn't have it. This is not the, level paint on huge canvas painting pallet knife kit. Which is fine 😊 as advertised. I'm happy!

GREAT For New Painters or Kids, but Probably a Little Too Cheap Quality for Experienced or Good Painters - Read Review to See
I am teaching myself how to paint with acrylic and oil. I am by no means a good painter, and pretty much do not know what I am doing. I am just learning something new and trying something out. And paint knifes were something that the instructional book and youtube videos I am using said to get. There are some simple lessons with knifes and they can be used to cut corners or clear portions of your canvas to get fit of mistakes. For my use, these knifes are perfect. They are a little on the cheap side as qualify goes. Pretty lightweight plastic, bend a little as you use it against the board, but they are straight, smooth edged, and do the job well. Perhaps if I was a better painter or a very particular painter I would mind more, but I don't know better. For basic painters, new painters, or children, I would say these are great. If you are having a painting party or want to teach yourself something new, or want to use these with a lot of kids, they are great. For more serious artists, I would avoid these.

Good Starter Palette Kives
I've recently delved into palette knife oil paintings inspired by the beautiful paintings of Leonid Afremov (but mine are all abstracts). I purchased this set as a starter. On 8x10, 9x11 and 12x16 canvases, I used number 1, 3 and 4 the most. It's good to buy more than one palette knife for painting as you start of with a thin layer with a larger knife enough to cover the whole canvas and then fine tune with a smaller knife. I picked this up in Leonid Afremov's youtube tutorials, so I'm very glad at the variety this pack offers. The gips of the knifes are pretty good, easy to hold but the straight nature of these knives does tend to result in you hand hitting the painting if you aren't careful. You have to hold the handle slightly upwards to avoid making a mess. The only other problem with the set is that the knives themselves are a little too straight, which results in a little trouble spreading the paint around, curve would have helped get the paint when it spreads to the center of the knife. It's definitely not for professions, after about six paintings, I've noticed several issue that affect my paintings, but for a starter, it's great training and this quality at this price can't be beat.

You can make these into some great knives
Yes the ferrels are loose and in spots the metal could use some 240 grit sandpaper but with a little help you can make these into some deceit knives . First the reason why these can sometimes come cracked from the factory is because the they drill a large hole in a small shaft. When they press in the rod it cracks. The ferrels are very thin also. I pulled one out and noticed the shaft is cut short so it doesn't go in very far. So what I've found is you rough up the surface of the wood and take a dull chisel and give the rods a few whacks to give it a little texture to grip on and then 5 min epoxy it in. As far as the surface I only found only one area that was a bit rough on the blades. A little sanding with 240 grit sandpaper will clean it up. Also the edges are a bit sharp for my liking. Once again a little sandpaper on the edges dulls them up. With that done, they should last a long time. These can be as good as any high priced blade if you want to take the time to clean them up and solidify the rod, handle and ferrel with epoxy. Yes they are cheap but for the money you save on these and the fact you can make them very serviceable, I give them 5 stars.

No pinto profesionalmente así que fueron una excelente opción. Fueron las mas baratas que encontré y la calidad es buena. No tienen rebabas o desgaste.

Great set for a good price. I have used these for about 6 months and they are still in very good shape. I have, on occasion, forgot to clean them. A plastic scrubber removed everything and they are back in working order. The blades are still tight in the handles and have not loosened at all.
