Perfect for grafting
I did pause before buying after reading some of the negative comments but in the end decided to purchase anyway as the price seemed right. I’m glad I did. This is a truly brilliant knife. The blade is exceptionally sharp, sharper than some others costing significantly more! The lock is sturdy and easy to disengage and the bamboo handle looks gorgeous. I bought this to replace my grafting knife and for grafting fruit trees it is 100% perfect, straight blade of just the right length, comfortable grip, safe to use, what’s not to love?

Great knife for household jobs
I bought this knife after I initially wanted to get a Japanese Higonokami but after reading about them and discovering their usage did not match the hype, I looked elsewhere. That's when I found this, the Gerber Bamboo Quadrant Folding Knife. It's the perfect knife for household jobs, I use it particularly for opening mail and parcels because the blade is sharp and small. The single handed opening is great because you hold something in one hand while opening the knife with the other. A gentle pull on the blade and a flick to lock it. A very useful action considering UK's knife law bans almost all types of quick opening/automatic knives. It's not a heavy sturdy knife (it's not for heavy usage) but it's solid to grip and has a smooth opening action (even though it was a bit stiff to begin with but it gets easier over time).Blade keeps its sharpness even after cutting reams of cardboard.I've found it to be a very useful knife.

Almost perfect
Great looking pocket knife, just one small flaw in the bamboo - this is hardly noticeable but, being a perfectionist, it slightly bugs me.The blade is razor sharp, and will be more than sufficient for use on my landscape photography trips (cutting tangled straps and cords used to stabilise the tripod in windy/cliff edge conditions).

Excellent cheap knife with a non offensive profile
I was looking for a knife (as a part time van dweller) that was sturdy, cheap, and unlikely to land me in trouble if any prying eyes saw it.SturdyI am not a gentle person. I do not take great care of thinks I think should not need it and should be able to withstand punishment. This knife is no exception. In fact, the motivator for me writing this review is I have just found the knife again after it was lost for a month or so in my van, turns out it was at the bottom of a stack of crates, and the handle and hinge was covered in water. This resulted in very minimal surface rust to the blade, but other than that, after a clean with some boiling water and a drop of olive oil (clearly not the correct lube for the job, but it has worked EXCELLENTLY for me to mitigate the reported "stiff hinge" issue) the knife was back to full working order. I have also dropped this repeatedly and used it as a pry bar, witch so long as you’re sensible with the forces exerted works fine. Overall, very sturdy, and will take a lot of idiocy to break, and minimal effort to maintain.CheapNot as much to say about this one. Do some research and comparison. No many blades (at least from my research) are this sturdy, and this styled at this price.Non offensiveI haven’t seem many people talking about this but it was quite important for me as I live in the UK, and have to try and navigate all the questionable laws that come along with this. This knife is NOT EDC legal in the uk. That being said, I believe that It would be one of the easier knifes to claim you have "reasonable use" for, a key part of UK knife law. The combination of the thin profile, clean, light bamboo inlay, and rounded, almost butter knife style tip, all combine to mitigate the majority of the fear factor blades usually bring along with them. The stiff hinge (which was present on my unit (and is very fixable as stated with oil and a multi bit screwdriver)) also helps to ensure that you don’t flick this thing open in the blink of an eye, perhaps leading people to assume it is spring assisted (which it is not).Hinge summaryI was worried about mention of this stiff hinge when I purchased this knife, and it was admittedly, a little stiff for my liking upon arrival, and I have pretty large hands, so I imagine this would be an issue for more petite users. As I have touched on however, with a few drops of oil (I’ve heard 3-1 oil works well) worked into the hinge as well as a slight loosening of the hinge screw results in a wicked feeling opening action. The small finger bump allows you to, with a slight wrist flick, to open the knife with one hand in a split second and a very satisfying click.Overall an excellent knife, only misses 5 stars because of the very minor maintenance and modifications that are needed to take this knife to a real top tier.P.S.All photos were taken after around 4 months use, from letter opening to cooking to repairs.

A great utility blade
Ok, the bamboo is a tiny accent on this knife. Who cares? It's just something to rub your thumb on for the pleasing texture and to add a little colour. The blade is sharp, straight, with a corner that makes it easy to poke into parcels and packages. There's no wobble or play, and it cuts beautifully. And due to the straighness, one assumes will be easy to sharpen. It folds up and sticks in your pocket, and if hassled by the plod, can be indicated as a working knife with no stabby nature.

Great Fun
A very nice looking knife that doesn't look like you're about to rob an off license. You will definitely have to sharpen more often due to the steel used but it's also a lot easier to obtain an acceptable edge. I would strongly advise oiling and ever so slightly loosening the bolt through the blade so it opens much easier. My only gripe is that the bamboo has a slight crack where the lower bolt has been tightened. Not an issue for me and it may have been from abuse rather than workmanship. It has a satisfying weight with smooth rounded edges and very pleasant to use. Be aware this is not UK legal for EDC. I would have preferred a black pocket clip to help hide it for this reason.

Nice design but some minor quality check issues
The wood on the bottom left of the knife came dirty/ stained and I'm unable to remove this. The logo also isn't as clear as advertised (the picture shows clearer than it appears to your eye)Otherwise I like the design of this knife and the actual blade came sharp. The screw/opening mechanism is also very tight however I believe this to be a good thing as I have a few knives with similar opening styles and find that they come too loose and I end up having to tighten them within a week of using them

Cómoda y elegante
Un dieño original que esconde una buena navaja EDC. No tiene punta lo que puede evitar punciones accidentales, pero que en función del uso es una ventaja o un inconveniente

Best edc for work
The tanto style blade and amazing point makes it the absolute superstar box opener. Great build quality and the sharp wedge shape makes it a plastic package destroyer. Love it
