This is a great whistle for starting referees. I bought it for myself in order to distinguish the sound from the other whistles new refs are given by default. The sound wasn’t much different but it works, it’s loud, and it gets attention of the players. My issue however, lies in the pea. I don’t know exactly why, but sometimes, whether it’s my first whistle if the game calling the teams or in the middle of a play calling a foul, the pea gets stuck in the opening, so instead of having the vibrating whistle sound, I get a high pitched squeal. Not a super annoying thing if it happens once in a while, but in 45 minute halves, it happens at least 5-6 times. It’s not moisture, because I’ve gotten the noise on the first whistle of the night. Other than that, I’ve liked it for being a new ref.
