Cuisinart Truffle and Chocolate Shaver, 1.25", Stainless Steel

This is very easy to use, and clean. I got it for truffles. It was nice and sturdy. Great quality, sliced through the truffle like butter. Great value for the money

I used this item to make chocolate shavings for tiramisu. It did not disappoint. Seems to be of good quality and have not had any problems, knock on wood, after running it through the dishwasher (top rack) to clean. This item makes the process of obtaining chocolate shavings MUCH easier than doing with a knife.

Love this shaver. The blade is super sharp ( be careful when using it) slices to varying degrees of thickness. I also use it for shaved garlic- take a clove , after peeling it shave it down using this shaver. Easy easy! I also use it for lemon and lime rinds when shaving for cocktail twists. Get the great citrus rind with out any bitter pith below. Very versatile shaver!

What to get the person who has everything? Why, a truffle shaver of course! If your lifestyle includes truffles on the reg, you need this. Variable depth of slices and a shiny stainless finish make this a must have. But beware, as with all sharp objects like this, the paranoia of losing a finger tip is real. Do not use while intoxicated.

My girlfriend has a fine dining background and loves this for slicing garlic. The full stainless steel nature makes it super easy to clean.

Not very sharp doesn’t make even cuts and crumbles more truffle than it actually slices. This sucks obviously because truffles are expensive. Other than being dull the biggest problem is the adjustment screws don’t stay in place and wiggle lose after only a couple slices. Not cool when a small.screw falls.in the food.
