A Princess Primer: A Fairy Godmother's Guide to Being a Princess Hardcover – September 21, 2006

My daughter loves this book. We had a copy when she was little and it was used so much it completely worn out. I ended up throwing it out because it was destroyed but at some point she asked where it was and got upset that we no longer owned it so I ordered another copy. It launched a whole new love of it and brought up so many amazing memories of reading it together. It’s such a well done book and there are times I myself pull it out and flip through it. They did a great job with this one! So immersive and beautiful

Product Details shows this book to be for ages 5-8. I strongly disagree. I believe it's best for ages 9-12. The details are wonderful, which little girls could easily miss. This is a delightful book about princess clothes styles, the rooms in a palace, magic of a fairy godmother, the kingdom of a princess, treasured objects, and so much more fun information for a girl who sees herself as a princess. Charming fun.

The listing said good condition, but all tabs and content of pockets are pristine.

My daughter "reads" this book at school and loves it. So, for Christmas, she'll have it.

I first found this book in our local library, but our grandchildren were so enthralled that we purchased it for them. A kindly fairly godmother tells little ones all about princesses and how to become one. Even to showing the curtsy. It takes a princess through her castle, and shows alternate clothing choices and ends with a wedding to of course "Prince Charming". However along the way, the fairly godmother teaches about evil spells and wicked princes to beware of. A fun book which our grandchildren have returned to over and over.

I purchased this book for my niece, for Christmas, and she loved it. This book stands out because of it's use of textures and interactive items. For example, within the discussion of the proper attire for a princess there are actual samples of satin, lace, and velvet for the child to touch. There are envelopes with removable contents, like the invitation and menu for the wedding of the prince and princess.A couple of the earlier reviews commented negatively on the art. I found the art delightful. I believe that those reviewers had an expectation that the art would by "Disney-like". It isn't and I think that is to the book's benefit.
