This is a great perm. My fine hair is colored and yet remains resistant to curls, which is why I went with an alkaline perm. I did a pyramid wrap (used to be called spiral) using gray and white rollers for a decent curl.When I washed my hair, I used a clarifying shampoo to remove styling products, conditioner, etc that would have caused the perm to not take properly.It took out very little of the color and left it soft and curly. Now, if I could get a high dollar cut I could really look like a million bucks! Thanks, Covid!

THIS WAS THE BEST PERM I HAVE EVER HAD AND I DID IT MYSELF. i HAVE BEEN GOING TO A PROFESSIONAL FOR DECADES, BUT WITH COVID19 WE ALL CHANGED OUR HABITS UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING WITH MY FINE LIMP HAIR I FIGURED I WILL DO IT MY SELF. SO EASY AND THE SMELL IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN MY HAIR DRESSERS. MY HAIR IS SOFT A NICE CURL AND NO STINK.

Quantum had always made good perms, but they were stinky! This perm is different. Still bouncy, true-to-size curls, without the residual odor. I will buy this again.

I read the directions and watched videos and did a ton of research and preparation before I did this perm. I have thick, medium coarse, color treated hair. I used orange perm rods. I was hoping for more curl but mostly got waves. The last 2” of hair did not take at all but I might trim it anyway. I did this perm in April and am writing this review in October, my hair is still fairly wavy. Would buy again and would recommend.

I will definitely buy this again. The product worked good for me. Unlike a store bought brand I have bought for several years that left a gummy spot on top of my head this product did not. (I do color my hair as well) I probably would time it for a little less next time. I got a good full head of thick hair with my super thin hair. I had to treat my hair gently for a couple weeks with the breakage, but that is my hair. I kind of expected low odor according to other reviews but it is still pretty strong. It doesn't come with papers (or cotton for your hair line) so be prepared with those. It is also a better price than the store brands and that was with shipping costs included!

I followed the instructions and my perm turned out perfect. There was not obnoxious odor from the product. I am very, very please with the results & I will definitely purchase again!

I wouldn’t call the results “firm”. I used a variety of perm rods to achieve a more natural look, but the resulting curls did not reflect the size of the rod used. The curls came out very limp. I’ve been a cosmetologist since 2007, so my first though my was user error. I bought the same perm from a local beauty supply store and used it for another perm on someone else. I used the same techniques and made sure to follow the instructions to a T. Even though I had more than 7-10 splits on my test rods, the curls still came out very limp and lifeless. I expected bouncy, firm curls, but I was very disappointed both times.

Used this perm on my sister who has fine,hard to curl hair.This was great,hair had curl and body was really pleased with it.
