This formula works for all granular fertilizers, premixed liquids, or water soluble fertilizers. The first thing that goes into the calculator is always your desired target rate of whatever nutrient your aiming to apply. To spread any fertilizer without worrying about spreading evenly, set sprayer or spreader to a low setting and walk the area from multiple directions until the weighed out product is gone.
