The Wej-It Ankr-TITE CCAT wedge anchor provides a secure hold in uncracked concrete and solid masonry up to 1.275" thick, and meets Federal Specification QQZ-325 Type II Class 3 and ICC-ES Report Number ESR-2777 Category 1 design criteria. The anchor consists of a carbon steel body that is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, a carbon steel washer and nut, and a corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel clip. It must be installed into a drilled hole with a diameter equal to that of the anchor. The washer lies flush against the mounting surface when the anchor is inserted into the hole, and the nut tightens with a wrench to draw the threaded portion of the anchor up, causing the clip to expand and secure the anchor in place. The clip is round for even distribution of force within the mounting surface for high load capacity. A line marking and length identification code are stamped on the anchor's visible end for post-installation inspection, and the dog point on the opposite end prevents damage during installation. A safety shoulder above the clip provides support when the anchor is under severe strain.
